It matches the original beautifully and works well. Removing the old keyboard was straightforward with the help of this brilliant link. [...] You need a thin sharp blade, a bit of care and patience and its done in a few minutes. Fitting of the new is really easy and just presses into place once the ribbon wiring is connected.

I've left doing a review for a while so this keyboard gets a good test. I purchased this for my daughters acer laptop as a few key buttons had started stick and some buttons had come off. Her laptop gets alot of use due to her university needs and has got her through her degree and now onto her masters. Her feedback is that she likes the keyboard touch as it doesnt feel as hard as the origional and hasnt complained of finger ache the same as on the old keyboard. She also stated that she prefers the Matte black as to her it doesnt reflect like her other glossy one did under a lamp, better for her eyes. As for fitting this I viewed a video on youtube that matched the make of her laptop. After this it was extreamly easy to change and only took about 15mins to do. The benifit of watching the vid on youtube was that I found easily the best points to prod my small screwdriver to release stuff. I say this as I tend to be a careful type when doing things as dont want risk making more work or cost. But this was very easy to accomplish and saved alot of money due to not having to go places like pc world or the like. And best of all my daughters very pleased with the functionality of this keyboard an its enabled her to keep her laptop as well.

This is one of the cheapest replacement Acer keyboards available online (they are around £10 on EBAY) and these are a bit of a hit and a miss in terms of installation. I ordered one and received a good quality one, then ordered another and received one with white spaces inside (these are poor quality ones) it depends entirely on the type of keyboard the seller sends. Overall good quality keyboard which is easy to replace.(NOTE) be careful when replacing these keyboards as the clips are easy to damage (should the clips come off it will be a noisy keyboard) make sure you take care when replacing the keyboard to prevent this from happening.

Had to take my son's Acer Aspire 5742Z completely to bits to clear dust from the fan and apply new Arctic Silver to the processor/heatsink as it has started overheating (normal for a 3 year old laptop). Apart from not being happy that this regular maintenance item meant getting the motherboard out, the keyboard was virtually impossible to remove and got bent in the corner and I snapped two keys in the process - but it had to come off.I was quite horrified as no other laptop has given this difficulty and was thinking it would mean the machine was an uneconomical repair, so was pleased to see a replacement keyboard for £14. I was a little dubious despite general good reviews that it would just seem like a poor quality copy, but neither I, nor my son, can tell it apart from the original, even putting them side by sideThere is also the advantage it saved me trying to clean the original, quite a challenge when a teenage boy has been using it. I think if I have to re-do the Arctic Silver in another 3 years I will just swap the keyboard again, makes the laptop look like newGreat product

Obviously not an ACER original part, but was easily fitted, and works well. The keycaps DO become loose after while, but that seems to be normal of any 3rd party replacement keyboard for notebooks. At least the keycaps. while loose, haven't fallen off yet. Wish I could say the same for some other replacements I've had in the past.

Really easy to install and works like it should. Computer is operating like new and now I was able to upgrade a behemoth of a laptop to Windows 10 thanks to this. Product arrived very quickly and without hassle. Many thanks for this product!

Imma give this new keyboard 4 stars because, while being easy to fit, as a direct replacement for the old keyboard you can "feel the quality" it's slightly "lighter" in strength, and it bends as you type. Might be my sausage-like digits, but I don't recall the old one doing it. Still as a "cheap replacement" it's a god-send. Much better than buying a new laptop, and works out cheaper than a per letter replacement, even considering it was only E and R on the old one that had gone.Then again, the old one had bits of lunches past under the keys, so... sparkly clean!tell you what: five stars, sod it!

Pedido para reemplazar otro teclado que tenía varias teclas rotas, lo pedí en inglés pensando que no importaría que podria cambiar teclas del teclado anterior a este, para asi completarlo y dejarlo bien. Error, el sistema de pulsación, la palanquita de debajo de la tecla no es exactamente igual que en el anterior teclado, a pesar de ser el mismo modelo, probablemente sea una Rev. diferente. Por lo demás impecable.

La tastiera che ho ricevuto non era tastiera italiana perché i tasti non corrispondevano , l'ho subito resa con tiket gratuito e sono stato rimborsato
