Q: My granite does not have a specific stain, it has just darkened (alot) all over. Anyone tried this to restore granite to original color?

After reading your question, (I’m in the granite/natural stone industry), my first question would be “Do you know if the stone was properly sealed when it was installed and has it been sealed subsequently?” When natural stone is not properly sealed it can darken. Am easy was to tell would be similar to checking the wax job in a car…just drop some water on the countertop, see if it beads up, if it doesn’t then that’s a sign that it needs to be sealed…also you can take a wet rag and lay it on the stone for a few minted then lift if you and if it is darker where the wet cloth was lain, then that is a sign that the stone needs to be sealed. Miracle sealants makes great cleaners and sealants that are easy to use…they even make a product that cleans and has a little sealer in it as well. If your stone needs sealing you’d be safe to use their products, but it would be a good idea to clean it well dirt prior to sealing it. I hope this helps

Q: I have very dark spots on my light grainite in the bathroom due to water. Will this help remove these stains?

Hello Christopher-You can use our Poultice Plus to try and remove any type of stains. What is puzzling to us here is that you state that it is water you're trying to remove from the granite. If it is just water, then it should dry out and not leave a spot as long as there isn't a constant source feeding the spot with moisture. You can use a hair dryer to see if the spot doesn't dry out for you. Even if it dries out really quickly and returns, you at least know it is water that is in your stone and if it comes immediately back there is a source feeding that dark spot. In which case the spot will never dissipate. Q: Certain large areas of my black granite have a cloudy flim on it. No idea what it is. Will this product work on it?

If you are noticing a cloudiness on top of the surface it may be an etch you are noticing. Q: What chemical should be mixed in for rust stains? The label says mixing with an "appropriate chemical" will help, but can't find info on the website.

Whink removes rust but watch out- it removes ALL color from ceramic tile.
