Vance & Hines Shortshots Staggered Exhaust Black 47225

Sound is great, loud but not excessively loud.V&H does not list the short shots as compatible exhaust system for the 2017 Harley FXSB breakout, but I had no problem installing them. Install without tightening everything, then start tightening flanges while positioning the pipes... then bracket end, and lastly the heat shields. I put the heat shields on loosely prior to installation.Only reason I can think of why V&H claims these don't fit is how close the O2 sensor (top pipe/rear cylinder) is to the top oil line. I used a 3" piece of Thermo-Sleeve heat shield as precautionary measure.Used the V&H fuelpak3 for tuning.Hope this helps you out.

Amazing pipes, I love them. Put them on my '14 Breakout in about an hour, NO MODIFICATION NEEDED. I know that these say that they don't fit the Breakout, and others have tried to bolster that claim by referring to the proximity of the O2 sensor. That is all rubbish. If you take the time to fit everything loosely before tightening everything, it goes on like a breeze and doesn't interfere with the stock rear O2 at all. They look and sound amazing, and give a much desired boost of power. I paired this with a high flow "blunt" air cleaner from Roland Sands and a V&H FP3 fuel pack and it makes a huge difference. It really lets the big 103 run.

The good. Great sound, easy install, and looks great. The bad. It took 9 days to receive even with next day shipping. Wrote the retailer and never received a response. I will continue to purchase Vance and Hines but will avoid Powersport Parts as the supplier. Without Powersport Parts I would've rated 5 stars.

Great product and fast shipping. The pipes are just what I wanted to set my bike apart from others. Sound is a bit loud but I expected it to be. They came just as I would expect if I ordered directly from Vance and Hines. All around great service and part. I highly recommend getting this exhaust if you own a Harley softail.

Awesome looks meet deep rumble. Only wish they incorporated the cross-over “power chamber” to add to the performance. But after tuning with the V&H FP3, bike runs great.

These are great looking pipes but oh my God they are so loud!!! I bought these for my 2016 Fatboy s and they fit perfectly. I'm going to order the quiet baffles so that I don't get a ticket LOL. Great look and price for pipes I would recommend these with the baffles!

The exaust is extremely loud, and if you decide to purchase the quiet baffles you will be charged $63.00 a piece for the baffles are not sold in pairs! Customers are not the concern of the manufacturer but greed is! I will not purchase products from Vance and Hines in the future. They are not even well made.

These are the pipes for you if you want that true Harley Potato-Popper sound. Huge improvement over factory (junk). They look bad and sound even badder! Took 2.5 hours, start to finish including prep and cleanup, to install these badboys. Was concerned about sound when purchasing but glad I made this choice. Got them from Amazon (Powersport Superstore) in just 2 days and was stoked when they arrived.
