Lights are very compact and slim. Easy installation, however if you are replacing originally installed lights that have a rather large hole cut out, you might consider getting a plastic door knob wall protector sold at Home Depot as a platform to secure the lights. It is a thin 3 inch round piece of plastic that you can use to secure to cabinetry first and then install the LED Puck onto that surface. Light illumination is adequate and the dimming does lower the intensity to a comfortable level. Not completely dim but enough not to be an eye sore. Great product. Recently bought two more.UPDATERecently installed an additional 2 light pucks. I researched several days for a similar design. Their is no comparable product on the market. The simplicity of only 2 wires allows a quick installation without needing an additional 3rd wire typically required for dimmer control. The pucks are light in weight, very slim, and made with quality materials. The LED lamps are set in the outer ring of the assembly and provide a stable illumination through a tested battery range from 9 to 12vdc. Simple operation, touch press the center button for ON or OFF. Maintain finger pressure to illuminate high or low. At full brightness their is plenty of transmitted light. Full dim is perhaps 50 percent less, enough to make a difference and afford a more subtle brightness. The lights are reasonably priced and perform well. Easy and quick installation.

Installed on my boat over the weekend. The location requires a wire run and I had to shim the light to allow room for the wires, so there is a small gap all around the light. No big deal and still looks nice. The switch takes some getting used to. When I tap it to turn it on, I often end up turning it back off. Not always sure when its dimmed and not sure I'm getting the brightest light when I need it. Not a huge difference in brightness and the switch it "touchy". Its always pretty bright, so you have to be careful not to look directly at it (like a bare bulb) because you will temporarily lose your night vision and will see rings for a second or two. But overall a nice little light.

I added these lights in the bedroom of my RV right under the backboard cover. The original light was way too bright. I set this right next to the original, so I can still use the original if needed. This is dimmable, so I was able to bring down the light to a level that was more comfortable for my wife if she should try and go to sleep while I read. You have to make sure you wire it correctly, or it will not work. I.e., positive to the correct hookup. If you touch and hold the on/off switch it either gets brighter or dimmer, and remembers where it was set the next time. It's very good. I'd definately buy again.

The instructions clearly state that the outside diameter of the light is 2.87 inches and the thickness is .39 inches. The advert only stated .39 inches thick, no OD. That would've been immensely helpful as this doesn't cover the screw holes in the ceiling of my RV where the poor quality old units lived. I'm sure I'll find a use for this innovative design, but not where I had planned. Gee. Thanks OBEAMING...

I like the concept, being able to control this without it being connected to a wall switch. The dimmer function is nice and the fact that when it is turned back on it has the previous settings intact. However, one of the units I installed in my RV has a mind of it's own. About every 2 days I look and and see it has come on by itself and I have to go out and turn it off. Will be removing this light and replacing with the 2nd one that came with it and hope it doesn't do the same thing.

My camper came with larger diameter LEDs that didn't dim. Turning them on at night to use the bathroom was like turning on the sun. These are smaller, the dim function is awesome. You can dim it to the level you want, and it remembers if you touch on/off. They cover the original lights holes up perfectly. The color is bright white, not cool or warm but when dimmed a little it doesn't look odd. Very happy with the design and quality of these lights. An enthusiastic two thumbs up!!!

Nice dimmable light in warm white instead of that cold blue white light. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would have liked it to be just a bit dimmer on the lowest setting. Otherwise, it was easy to install in our trailer and makes a good light to leave on for when we come back after a day of adventuring.

Bought this to use in my house after an old school alarm system panel was removed. The wired were already there so my husband said, "lets use the existing wires and find a light that will work with it." This is that light. Small, yet bright. Better yet, when the power goes out its the only hardwired light that works since it is wired to an emergency back up battery for the old alarm system.
