Hold up hinged.
These got the job done but we're a little flimsy as I used them to hold open a 3/4" plywood desk top. Decent for the price

Kind of cheap feeling. For light duty applications, you should be fine. But if you are having it hold something with some weight, look elsewhere. I needed to add additional support for my project.

They work if you get them installed correctly. There were no instructions about where to locate the pivots. I guessed and tried it. One worked one didn’t.
