My trombone case has no slot dedicated to mouthpiece storage.This keeps my large shank Marcinkiewicz 15 mouthpiece perfectly safe in the storage bin.It seems to fit both my large shank and small shank mouthpieces without any struggle. The large shank fit fine. The small shank didn’t rattle in there.As for rating it’s “Giftability,” it’d be a really weird gift. You’d have to find someone who plays low brass, has an extra mouthpiece, and wants a case for just one mouthpiece instead of one that fits multiples.

Rest-assured that this pouch will protect your mouthpiece. This pouch accidentally fell onto the floor from atop a dining table - no dent! I like that I can slip a belt through it and carry it around to gigs or even just to buzz on throughout the day for easy access. Also, The mouthpiece can adequately air out due to the gaps made from the flap. I need not worry about bacteria festering in damp conditions.

Like: Good quality. Protec, in my experience, just makes good products. This one did not disappoint either. Sturdy, space efficient. My 6 1/2 AL and 12C trombone mouthpieces fit perfectly and are well protected.Nothing to dislike. However, maybe a discount for getting two of them would have been nice. :-)

This pouch keeps the mouthpiece safe. I usually keep it in my tuba case and it stays put. It is nice that I no longer keep this mouthpiece in a box where other items run against it.

I bought this for my son after his thin, nylon pouch broke. I wanted something more durable to go back and forth to school (when school was still in session). The pouch holds up really nicely. It’s small enough to fit in his backpack and is protecting his mouthpiece very well. I like the reinforced edges. Definitely a good buy for us.

I bought it for my husband, and he said it’s useful to carry his trumpet’s mouthpiece. The cover is quite big, perfect for two pieces, one is a bit loose, but if put with a piece of material, it’s ok.

It's okay... the pouch seems sturdy enough and it might protect your mouthpiece in case of a fall. However, this model will not close over my small tenor mouthpiece...
