Great for night in
This was a great way to spend a few hours and get the brain cells in gear. I have done quite a few of these case files and this one was pretty decent. Not overly difficult but enough to get you thinking. Can be done with a group or solo.

This company makes some of the best games. It is very fun to play. The clues are well thought out and the quality of the items is very good. Fun way to spend an evening with friends.

So much potential ruined by subpar writing. I’d only recommend this one to avid cold case game players…or people who don’t get too annoyed by details. So, this game has a TON of evidence, and that evidence is well produced as far as materials. It’s a lot to go through, which to me is a positive. The problem is that some of the evidence is poorly written (e.g. and this shouldn’t be a spoiler - there is an insurance document that was evidently written by someone who has no idea how insurance works…unless the insurance doc is supposed to be fake, which was never confirmed by anything in the game) and even with all of that evidence, not all of the innocent characters are convincingly alibied by it. I did guess the correct answer without taking any clues, but it frustrated me that it seemed like the game wanted me to take a couple of weak alibis as conclusive. The game would have played better if some of the fluff evidence had been replaced by corroborating evidence for alibis. And don’t even get me started on motive and means. Fortunately, I can’t discuss those without spoilers. Ultimately, the case is solvable as written and fine to pick up if you like this style game.
