Nice
Brilliant for the price and very low noise easy to fit

Good value for money but nowhere near silent
I bought this 6cm fan to replace the one in my 2005 JVC RX-E5 AV amplifier that had become annoyingly noisy. The original fan was rated at 65mA, so I put an 82 Ohm 1 Watt resistor in series with this AAB fan to drop the current to around the same. This dropped the voltage across the fan to just under 6V and gave almost silent operation* with still adequate airflow. *In this configuration in a quiet room, the fan is just audible with my ear 20 cm away from the amplifier front panel. The "Super Silent" claim is definitely not true as this fan is audible from 5 metres away in a quiet environment when running on 12V, but if you're restricted to having to use this exact fan size and are happy to run at reduced voltage and airflow, this may be the right fan for you.

Very powerful
Really pushes a lot of air for such a small fan, but can get quite loud at 12v , reduce it to 5v obviously it's not spinning as fast, still moved some air so might be better for a smaller project that doesn't need as much cooling

replacement fans
Am using one of these in a solar powered water heater/diverter which diverts unused solar powers excess kws generated into the immersion heater which gives lots of free hotwater, the achilles heel of the diverter is the cooling solution, a cheep fan which jams repeatedly, wd40 worked for awhile but eventually it siezed, this fan was easy to fit and provides more cooling plus quieter, have spares should it fail? cool....

Good Fan - Recommended
Bought this fan to add to a PC that I was refurbishing. It was a small cramp tower with very bad airflow but this little fan was perfect for the task. It worked great as expected and it is hardly audible. Good value. Conclusion: Definitely Recommended

Silent like a leaf blower
I bought these for my Creality printer and they are louder than the stock fans. 17db claims the packaging which is utter rubbish. Maybe if you smother it with a pillow it would be 17db. Possibly they measured it standing in another room. They also whine loud enough to be heard over the fan noise itself which is quite a feat. As I had to modify the wiring to get them to work in the printer, I can't even return them so they have gone straight in the bin. Live and learn. Do yourself a favour and buy a Gelid or Noctua.
