Son loves it
Bought this as an emergency last minute stocking filler for my 8 year old son and it's literally the best present he got! He spends hours drawing and making his own comic book and we love it because it feeds his creativity and gets him off his ipad.

Lovely Layout, Perfect For Wannabe Artists
Bought for my 9 year old son who loves drawing and doodling and making his own comics. The layout is great, there’s plenty of space to draw and explore one’s imagination and a lot of pages (135) so they can draw and write multiple adventures. A great book, recommended.

These are great. My oldest boy (8) goes through one quickly. They can learn to write, and how to break a story into separate pieces, or acts, if you will. Even for the less artistically inclined, looking at, say, a comic, and mimicking how those artists tell a story, and then making your own storytelling decisions (minus where to place the panels, which is vital to the actual medium) is a good discipline. It enhances memory, imagination, and forces one to think about how stories are built: beginning; middle; and end. In addition, for example, when do you go in for a close-up? Why? Above all: the whole creates new neural connections, especially in an increasingly graphics-oriented world in which people desire to see rather than be told. My son even does information-driven comics, like mini-biographies, in addition to the Coyote Man books his fellow third-graders love.

I have plans to purchase more He has been so creative with this! He is 7 now but got it when he was 6, he used to make his own by taping and stapling, so glad I found this, he absolutely loves it!
