Feels like a scam, was advised over a week ago that sample received and told results would be delivered within 3 days. Have emailed, no response. If you want timely results then avoid this product. If you want customer service then avoid this product.

Item itself looks professional and contains clear instructions. I can see why some have problems filling with blood to the line, so we found it was best to warm both hands in hot water for a good few minutes in addition to the instructions. Test kit was posted on a Tuesday morning first thing and results were emailed on the Thursday morning. We had to email them regarding the result but got no reply after a few days. We emailed them asking again but still no reply after seven weeks. Failure to reply lets the whole experience down and if they responded I would give it five stars.

Having previously used 'at home' blood sampling kits', I found this Female Hormone Testing Kit, from The London Health Company, relativity straight forward, however it did have slight frustrations. The instructions are clear and easy to follow; they are set out in steps numbered 01 to 15, and each step is illustrated with helpful diagrams. The sample must be posted only on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Unlike some kits I have encountered, there is no specific time of day requirement for when the sample should be taken. However, it is recommended that it be collected and posted on the same day. Before collecting blood, you must drink plenty of water 1-2 hours before collection, exercise gently, and soak your hand in warm water for 5 minutes. After following labelling and packaging instructions for your sample, you must take a photograph of your sample ID number. It is then imperative that you register your sample online; failure to do this correctly will result in your sample not being tested. You must also take a photograph of the tracking numbers on the prepaid envelope before you post it. It is all quite a faff and time-consuming, but for me, as I have been through something similar before, I found it quite straight forward. That is, until I came to registering my sample online, I was asked for my date of birth, and the only way for me to enter this was to scroll back through every single month to the day I was born. I was born in July 1962, so that was a total of 748 months I had to click back through, one at a time. It was hugely frustrating, I can tell you! I was impressed when the London Health Company emailed that they had received my sample, which was the day after I posted it, and then three days later I received my results via email. Overall, although I found the process time-consuming and a little frustrating, I am impressed with the company for keeping me informed throughout the process and the speed at which I received my results. By the way, the results are very accurate, based on a recent test I had done at my local surgery.

Great kit easy to use

The test was relatively easy to use, although the amount of blood that needs to be collected is rather large, so you may need some patience and softening the skin with warm water beforehand helps a lot. You may end up with multiple punctures, like me, which is not ideal but expected from a home test kit. The sample registering process was somewhat frustrating though, and the results took a while to arrive, which I feel is not ok for the price paid, I would have expected them back within a week at most. So make sure you don't need the results asap.

I wanted this because it tests oestradiol, progesterone and also testosterone, plus more. The kit contains everything including clear instructions, pre-paid and addressed envelope. I hadn't realised write how much blood you need to provide... See photo. Up to the line marked 600. It's quite different doing this yourself at home versus someone taking blood professionally. I'm still steeling myself up to do this at home... Nothing wrong with the kit and half to one third of the price of comparable home kits I checked online. So seems very good. You may need a friend!!
