Could possibly work in other applications
I tried it on a yr 1995 GM auto transmission with a front seal leak and it failed to seal the leak. The leak itself is around 1 drop every 15 seconds while running from the bell housing. At this point, I am almost convinced the bell housing itself has a crack near the front pump and is seeping ATF into the bellhousing (none should be in there). I can't expect it to fix a metal crack like that, so I'm still giving 3 stars. It is very thick in viscosity. With transmissions like this that don't have a dipstick and have to be filled from the side of the pan, I found a little trick to helping pump the fluid in if you're having trouble with it being thick, mix it half and half with ATF and it flows much easier and mixes cleanly. Other possibilities for my leak would be the torque converter bushing, the torque converter shaft could be marred, or the torque converter itself could be leaking. All of which are metal parts and nonapplicable in this situation, as I understand the product is for rubber seals.
