The perfect size for my homebrewing needs (8gallon/~32 liters) and comes as a complete kit so check out the list of included supplies(including a water pump). Everything arrived in good shape and packaging with no damaged parts noted. I have not used it but have assembled all parts to get a working idea of how to use and I find that there are no problems and everything fits well and the lid or dome top is quite nice construction. Used to distill waterFor the price, I love it! Hydrometer was broke (I’ve got better ones anyway) and thermometer is upside down when installed, I can still read it tho. Not too sure how long the gasket will last. Also can’t find much info on how the vent works to let out impurities, I’ve always just used the the head as a fun fire started…. Still going to get rid of the first bit just in case.No leaks, no overflow of water in condenser, mostly easy to clean. Welds and metal work look pretty good, again, for the price.Love the shape of the lid, the clamp connection to the condenser, false bottomOverall, I’m very happy with what I got from China

For what it is, it works great! I just have one problem and that's the design of the water reservoir for the condenser - you cannot use an industrial chiller to keep it cool unless you add an inline pump to the reservoir, or close the water system. At the very top of the unit, the condenser circles over the top of the rim of the water reservoir; this tube should be welded to the side instead of curled over the top so you can have a lid with a silicone ring that clamps down to close the water cooling system - this would allow you to attach an industrial chiller so you don't have to keep adding ice to a bucket. Good value, good build quality, thickness of the steel is great and works wonderfully on an induction cooktop.

Looking for a new hobby, and this might be at this still looks really remarkable. Very good value. I’m gonna make apples into bandy.

The product arrived earlier than expected.I expected a fair product for the price, and was very pleased to find a excellent distillation unit, the stainless is thicker than I expected and it is well made. 😎

Fundamental flaw: the circulating water for the condenser will quickly get to the 120 to 195 degrees depending on the length of time.At two hours of operation it will he over 175 degrees.Issue: the pumps are rated for max 95 degrees.So the pumps will not last, the supplied pump lasted for a total of 3 hours of operation and stopped working.I bought another pump and tried circulating 5 gallons and also 10 gallons hoping to reduce the water high temperature. A larger volume of water does slow the heating of the water but not enough to make a material difference. This pump also died as it was operated outside the parameters of design.So the manufacturer is using a pump not designed for such an application and I cannot find a pump that is.If you buy from amazon there is NO support from manufacturer.

Works as described

It's larger than I expected and didn't fit on my stove with the hood vent in the way.It seems well thought-out with plenty of extras. It really does come with everything to get you started.That said, my thermometer is only in C and I must keep the plastic fermentating cork in at all times to close off all the port in the lid.
