A Good Resource
I am a CPA with a fair bit of tax experience in my prior career. This book provides a good - though now dated - overview of tax structures and tactics and techniques that remain generally applicable 6-7 years after the book was written. The book is NOT designed for a CPA nor for the "do it yourselfer" tax preparer. It is a good overview and will provide you with the information you need to ask your CPA the right questions, to think about issues and tactics when looking at a real estate transaction, and understand the opportunities. A good resource.

A Valuable Read with a Costly Omission: A Review of "Real Estate Tax Secrets of the Rich"
"Real Estate Tax Secrets of the Rich" is an informative and well-written guide to navigating the often complex world of real estate taxation. However, a critical omission in the form of missing pages 195-222 prevents the reader from fully benefiting from the book's wealth of knowledge.Up to the point of the missing pages, the author does an excellent job of explaining the tax benefits and strategies employed by wealthy real estate investors. The book is filled with practical tips, real-life examples, and actionable advice that empowers readers to better understand and take advantage of tax laws to increase their wealth. The author's writing style is clear and concise, making the book accessible to both seasoned investors and those new to the real estate world. The chapters are well-organized, with each section building upon the previous one to create a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. However, the absence of pages 195-222 leaves a glaring hole in the content. The missing pages are particularly problematic as they cover a crucial part of the book: strategies for optimizing tax deductions and deferring capital gains through 1031 exchanges. Given the significance of these topics for real estate investors, their omission is a major drawback that cannot be overlooked.Readers can still benefit from the wealth of information provided in the rest of the book, but they will need to consult additional resources to fill the gap left by the missing pages. It's worth noting that this issue is a printing error rather than a fault in the author's work, and it would be prudent for the publisher to correct this in future editions. In conclusion, "Real Estate Tax Secrets of the Rich" is a valuable resource for anyone interested in understanding and leveraging real estate taxation to their advantage. However, the missing pages 195-222 detract from its overall usefulness, and potential readers should seek out a corrected edition if possible. Despite this shortcoming, the book remains a worthy addition to any real estate investor's library, providing essential insights into the world of taxation strategies for wealth accumulation.

Excellent must have book
Sandy Botkin is one of the best in making the complex simple and easy. I have also purchased his tape seminars online. An indispensable guide if you prepare taxes or just want to be aware of the best tax strategies available. His other book - Lower your taxes - big time - is also a MUST HAVE!
