I throughly enjoyed reading "White Coat Ways" by Dr. Brian Elliott! I found this author's style of writing was not only thought-provoking, but also humorous at times. I couldn't put this book down! There was so much detailed research into some common practices in the health field and beyond. This would be a great read or gift for health care professionals interested in the history of medicine or anyone curious about the health care world!

Dr. Elliott presents in an entertaining way pertinent history for the discussed traditions and offers thoughtful insights on why they are so entrenched despite evidence for change. Recommend for all but should be required reading for all medical students.

I have no medical background but I find the history of the medical field to be interesting. This book was easy to read and very informative. I recommend it to everyone.

White Coat Ways is just an incredible read. Every chapter is so well researched, giving excellent historical perspective as well as up-to-date current information. Dr. Elliott certainly did his research. I found myself continuing to think about each topic, even after I closed the book each day. Certainly White Coat Ways is a must read for any medical resident as well as practicing physician. However, I think it is also a very interesting book for anyone who receives healthcare.
