Microbiome Labs has a winner with this D3/K2 supplement. The D3 dosage is 5,000mg in these capsules which should be OK for most everyone but it would not hurt to have your blood levels checked next time you see an MD. Many in the integrative health community suggest a blood level of between 50 and 100 ng/ml to enhance immunity even though the official recommendations only suggest a level over 20. This manufacturer fully understands how critical it is to combine D3 with K2 for safety and effectiveness. Without K2, high doses of D can cause calcium to end up in the wrong places, but K2 keeps it out of the arteries and puts it where it belongs in the skeletal system. I appreciate that the best forms of D3 and K2 are used in the supplement and that no extraneous fillers are included. If the pandemic taught us anything, it is to reinforce benefit of having high D levels, as those who suffered the most were almost invariably those with below optimal D.

First, I love that this brand uses naturally-derived d3 and k2. The d3 is from lanolin and the k2 is from fermented chickpeas. I’ve always used Microbiome Labs for all of my probiotic needs as they are what my trusted holistic practitioners recommend - and they’re backed by the most research from what I’ve seen. Because I know and love the brand, I was excited to try their Vitamin D3 + K2 combo and I’m not disappointed thus far. My vitamin D level has gone up 20 points in just a few short weeks of taking this supplement. My biological dentist was actually the one who suggested for me to get my D levels up before trying to conceive as she said it is one of the greatest factors in my child’s teeth health. Combining D3 with vitamin K2 is essential to ensure that the vitamin D gets into the bones and doesn’t just deposit in the arteries.

Be careful of ordering vitamins, etc. The packaging isn’t what it looked like on their website and inquired about authenticity of product. Photo on the right is the real product.
