I purchased this Purple Mermaid Tail Blanket for my ten year old daughter. It arrived simply packaged in a bag, but smelled quite odd when unpacked and had to be washed before I could use it. I could not find any washing instructions on the item, although they are included on the product page and it did wash well - and smelt better after having been washed.This is easily large enough for my daughter. The bottom is open, so if your child wanted to 'play' at mermaids using this, they would be able to. However, of course, it is really for snuggling on the sofa and it does that very well. The details are nice, with attractive frills at the top of the blanket and is warm and comfortable to wear. The tail part of this blanket was straight at the bottom, rather than 'tail' shaped, but this did not concern my daughter, who loves this. There are lots of colours to choose from and the material is nice and warm and kept its shape well after being cleaned. Sure to appeal to the little mermaid in your life.

I bought this for my daughter. It arrived with a foul odour, lint and bits of yarn from another fabric. I was going to return it but decided to hand wash it instead. Odd fit, my daughter found it itchy and not cozy. Straight to the bin! Waste of money!!!!

My 11 yr old loves this, and will be using loads through the winter I'm sure! Good length - almost fits me! Great that it was available on prime too

Quick delivery. Item was smaller than expected. Suited to ages up to around 8 I would say. However quality was poor and smelled awful. Item returned.

Excellent quality product. Bought 2 for Christmas presents for my children. Material feels very good quality and lovely and thick and warm. Can't wait to see their faces when they open them. Might have to get an adult one for myself. Perfect for cuddling up on the sofa on a cold winter day.

Worst £14 i have ever spent.I got it as a gift for my 4 year old mermaid obsessed niece, but it looked nothing like a mermaid tail, and looked and felt cheap. Would not recommend. The only good thing about this item was the fast delivery.

Let's start by saying that my 7 year old daughter absolutely loves her mermaid tail, in fact she now has 2. However as a parent I would like to have seen the tail, we'll look more like a tail. It is just a bit limp and as a result just does not look like a tail until you spread out out on the floor.
