AEG 7 Series Digital 2-Slice Toaster AT7800-U - Stainless Steel [Energy Class A]

Bought this as a replacement for my toaster and chose it because it matched my kettle. The digital display is clear and makes the selection of browning levels of the toast simple and straightforward. It toasts quicker than my previous toaster and gives even browning to the toast. The price from Amazon was also good.

Fantastic toaster.the timer is really handy, and the adjustable heat setting so easy to change and use.the design and look is striking and clean.the stand to hold muffins and the like is also a really nice touch and just demonstrates the quality of the product.

Before purchase I read other reviews both positive and negative, but having purchased the 7 series matching kettle (which is impressive) I went ahead. I have to say I am once again pleased with the quality and performance of AEG. The toaster has so far done an excellent job with every day toasting and I have not experienced partial toasting of bread as described in another review. The only minor niggle is that the browning selector always defaults to 4 on each occasion of use, but it isn't a major disadvantage. The 'check' function is handy if you select a higher browning setting than is needed, again a nice touch, as is the bun warming accessory. A complaint was made about the 'plastic' side handle but I have experienced no problems with either its functionality or its robustness. Yes, it is a little pricey for a toaster but if it continues to do the job properly it adds a quality feel to the kitchen.

We really like this toaster, which we bought to match the kettle as our old toaster died.I love the hearing rack for pastries and we’ve used that a few times already.It takes a bit of getting used to how much each setting will ‘toast’ your bread, but the timer is useful and I like the easy-to-use controls and the display.Only thing I dislike is it buzzes (can only hear it when close by) when left switched on at the plug and not in use. We just have to get used to turning it off at the plug!

i have had this toaster for around 3 weeks now.it is very light, cheap plastic; the handle you push down seems to be the weak point and indeed somtimes does not register the handle is down.when you first switch it on - it always goes back to the setting of 4 regardless of previous settings (as other reviewers have stated); also the first toast it does at 4 - it hardly toasts; yet subsequent toasts at 4 it is just right so even that is not consistent;as for toasting - it does not toast all round the edges properly on large bread.. i have had better results from a £20 toaster ...now for the reason for 1 star - i was cleaning underneath the toaster and accidentally dropped the toaster on my work top - no more then 6 inches in height drop ; no mark at all on my worktop; but the display has stopped working and the display is pushed inwards; toaster does not work; you think for a £59.99 toaster it would be more durable then this.very disappointed and a waste of money.

Toasts well but first one only lasted 6 months and was replaced under warranty. Not sure how long this one will last and for the price you would think it would last a good few years. Had a really really cheap one before these and it was still going strong when I threw it away after 7 years.

Good value for money. I really like that it has a digital display that lets you know when you toast will be ready instead of guessing and having to decide if you have enough time to make a cup of tea.

I quite like the look of this AEG toaster, it looks much better than I expected. I like the display so you know how long it will take. So far I've not had to much trouble removing finger marks but we'll see. It toasts brown bread the way my grandson likes it so no complaints so far.

Optisch ist der AEG Automatik-Toaster PremiumLine 7 sehr schön anzusehen. Besonders gut gefällt mir hier,dass die Bedienelemente an der Vorderseite sind und nicht seitlich wie bei vielen anderen Modellen.Vor der erstmaligen Benutzung mit Lebensmitteln, soll das Gerät auf höchster Stufe ohne Inhalt verwendet werden. Dabei ist auf eine gute Belüftung zu achten, denn es gibt schon einen etwas strengen Geruch. Danach ist der Toaster jedoch ohne weitere Geruchsbelästigungen (außer nach frischem Toast) zu verwenden. Gereinigt wird das Gerät ohne Probleme mit einem feuchten Tuch..Der Toastet startet immer auf Bräunungsstufe 4, das uns zu dunkel ist,das heißt, jedes mal, wenn man eine neue Toastladung reinsteckt, muß man immer wieder die Bräunungsstufe abändern.Die Toast Ergebnisse sind sehr gut. Das Brot wird gleichmäßig durch gebräunt. Darüber hinaus gefällt der Toaster durch sein gelungenes Design, hochwertiges Material, gute Verarbeitung und eine Vielzahl von Bedienelementen.Den aufsteckt baren Brötchenaufsatz benutze ich gern zum Auf backen von Croissants und habe auch dabei immer gute Ergebnisse. Schön ist auch die stabil wirkende Krümel Schublade, die sich leicht raus ziehen lässt und beim Einschieben sicher einrastet.Insgesamt liefert der AEG Toaster ein sehr gutes Ergebnis ab und sieht dabei auch noch toll aus. Ich kann ihn nur weiterempfehlen.

Hallo,ich bin als Elektriker mit AEG durch meine Ehrungen mit Haushaltsgeräten und auch privat seit meinen jungen Jahren alt geworden.AEG hatte eine Zeitspanne mit mangelnder Qualität und mußte der Firma den Rücken kehren. Wir hatten daher auf andere Marken gesetzt. Nun aber hat man sich wohl wieder besinnt und auf bessere Qualität gesetzt, wo wir diesbezüglich nach und nach auch wieder AEG Geräte kaufen.Der Toaster ist demnach sehr zu empfehlen und habe nach einer anderen Marke, nun mit dieser hier, eine bessere Qualität bzw besseres Ergebnis.Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Nach oben ist immer Luft.Die Bedienbarkeit hervorragend.Die Restdauer Anzeige super.Das Ergebnis vom Toast (Stufe 3) einfach perfekt.Den AEG AT 7800 Toaster würde ich wieder kaufen.

Der obige Toaster entspricht den Erwartungen, sieht wertig und gut verarbeitet aus. Der Toast wird wunschgemäß gebräunt, die Stufen lassen sich schnell anders einstellen. Insbesondere das große American Sandwich Bread wird sehr gleichmäßig gebräunt.

Erst mal ist die Bedienung an der Vorderseite ein großer Vorteil gegenüber der unpraktischen Bedienung an der Seite wie sie die meisten Toaster haben.Gut ist auch, dass die Bräunung der Toasts gleichmäßig ist.Der Brötchenaufsatz ist zwar nicht eingebaut aber dafür sitzt das separate und großflächige Teil sehr stabil auf dem Toaster und zwei Brötchen sicher obenauf.Die Optik ist auch gelungen aber das ist natürlich Geschmacksache.

Ein bedeutender Punkt, das Gerät nicht weiter zu empfehlen, ist, dass der Toaster ganz leise piepst/surrt, wenn er an der Steckdose angeschlossen ist. Ich habe das Gerät bereits gegen ein neues getauscht, doch auch bei dem neuen taucht das gleiche Problem auf. Das Geräusch ist zwar nicht mega laut, doch, wenn man es weiß, sehr störend.Ansonsten sieht er edel aus und dank der elektronischen Anzeige auch sehr komfortabel.
