I have a few of the Dover Stained Glass books and this one is okay- not my favorite in the series (the Paisley one is amazing!) but it will definitely inspire me and be fun to paint. The images are pretty similar throughout- basic geometric repetitions similar to the one you see on the cover. Some of them are oddly shaped (diamond shaped, etc.) instead of rectangular, so they aren't full page. There's quite a bit of repetition with some of the basic designs, but I suppose that is to be expected. And these are not intricate designs- they can be colored in quickly (large blocks of color). Not my favorite in the series, but worth a place on my shelf.

Beautiful patterns.Dover coloring books are consistently good. This book is appropriate for anyone who can (or want to try for this low price) to color within black lines which are approximately 1/8" thick. What I mean is, while the patterns are busy, a child can well master coloring these designs. Pages are perforated to remove them when working or when finished, thus keeping the book neat. I enjoyed one of these stained glass coloring books as a child, and I bought a few recently to share with visiting grandkids. Or with girlfriends whilst drinking wine.

I bought this coloring book in college as something to keep me creative in a science major and relieve stress. There is great variety of designs at different levels of complexity. I've noticed that colored pencil does the best job, but markers are passable. If you trim away a lot of the black edging, some of the designs can actually look quite nice stuck on a window with some tape. Recommend storing with paper layered around a work in progress, otherwise you may get some color on pages you haven't started.

An attractive coloring book, it could be used by adults as a pattern for stained glass or by children to hang up as a replica of stained glass.

I was slightly disappointed with this book as the patterns are very easy. I generally like more intricate patterns to color. I like to copy my patterns. my first thought was that I would like them better if I combined two patterns together and copied them to color one picture. But oh, well to each his own. However I didn't hate the book just not what I expected.
