Shower Bench-Bamboo Folding Shower Stool Seat Chair Fully Assembled-Hold Up to 500 LBS

OK, I might have oversold the title a little bit. It was a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but I'm glad. It was worth. It really is the best shower chair I've used. When I started having balance problem, I borrowed a standard medical shower chair from my mom. We had hoped it would be temporary, but eventually I had to give it back. I really didn't want to get the standard, bulky, ugly, white, plastic chair. So, I began my search - it wasn't easy, bc (IMHO) Amazon's search engine sucks. Before I found this, I bought a bamboo "shower" chair. It was thin & flimsy. It moved everytime I moved, like it literally slipped & slid in the shower (bc the little leg pegs were hard plastic). It was just shoddy workmanship. After 6 months it was just not safe to use. I came back to Amazon & bought a new shower "chair". It was really a stool. 3rd try was the charm. All it took to find this chair was adding the word "sturdy." When it arrived, I was kind of surprised that the box was kind of heavy. When I took it out of the box, I did a little happy dance. It was exactly what I had been looking for. The wood is thick, it's a pretty color & let me tell you, it is sturdy. Opening the chair was a little hard, but I think that's bc it's wood sliding across wood. I can open it myself (& I'm a wuss). The best part is that it stays right where I put it. It doesn't slip at all. The water beads on the wood. Best of all it's firm sturdy. I'm 152lb & feel very safe & secure on it. Oh & it's really pretty. Definitely worth the buy.
