I disliked the idea of discarding used cartridges and adding to the already distressing plastic pollution. Although I haven't calculated it this must be cheaper than buying cartridges and just as easy to use. You can still buy bulk lamy ink so nothing is lost. Everyone who buys one of these pens should buy a converter. Actually the pen should come pre-supplied with a converter.

Dose the job

Good product, just as described. Excellent seller with first class customer service ; the converter did not arrive as expected having gone adrift in the xmas post, having informed the seller he responded within the hour and sent replacement. This was received within 48 hrs.

Good adapter fits my Lamy perfectly can be a bit fiddly to fill but as long as you have a little kitchen towel handy all is well. Highly recommended.

Ink cartridges are expensive and you are always running out when you really need to use your pen. So I bought this and some pots of ink to make sure I did not have to worry about ink. It works with a screw piston that sucks the ink, rather than a squeeze pipettes action. This means that the total reservoir is filled, not just the bottom half. It also means that if your nib gets dry, you can gently and carefully push some ink into it by a turn of the screw.

Must have. Easy to use. Buy a bottle of ink (so many more colours to choose from than cartridges!) and write for ages... The more economical and environmentally friendly way to write in fountain pen.

This product is great, it allows me to use a variety of different inks in my Lamy Studio as well as reducing costs for somebody like me who could often go through 2 or 3 full size cartridges in a week. A bottle of ink is substantially cheaper than having to buy disposable cartridges and kinder to the environment.
