I bought this for my older Swann security system Model: DVR8-4900 which uses a power supply cord "CHANNEL WELL TECHNOLOGY Model: KPL-040F-VI" After this Power Supply burnt-out, my whole system was not working. I had hard time looking for this power supply, Swann website don't even carry it. Finally on Amazon, I found this "UpBright Model: HG-120500" Plugged it in and it works! The only problem I had was, which I do not agree with is that the seller charged me $15.89 for Shipping and Handling for a $9.99 Item. I thought it was too high for me being a Prime Member. No Worries, I still give it and the seller 5 Stars.

My camera system first became unstable and then would not boot. I noticed that the light on the original adapter would dim when the DVR was powered on. I took a chance, and this power brick revived the system. The fan spun faster than before and the DVR booted right up. I figure that the old one degraded over time. This saved me quite a bit of money on a new DVR.
