AUTO-VOX 2A Car Camera Dash cam Hardwire kit-Mini Fuse Type-C USB Port 12V-5A for V5

I couldn't believe it. My dad came to see it, my wife came outside to look at it, my friends came over to see it, and my agoraphobic neighbor came outside and took a picture. It has blessed all of us and we are all better people now.

It’s simple. It’s functional.

It came with the housing open. I couldn't get it to close back. Hooked it up anyways to my dash cam to a constant fuse slot to find out it didn't work. I may have just gotten a dud.... but I returned it and will be avoiding it. Very poor quality.

This product is virtually nothing different than using the cigarette charge port. My cigarette charge ports are always active so installing this makes no difference at all other than freeing up 1 of the 3 ports in my vehicle. The camera needs to manually be turned off every time you get out of the car bc it’s constantly on in order to allow parking mode. They need to add a separate connection for switched fuse in addition to the constant fuse! The way this is now is you either can turn on/off camera with car and get NO parking mode OR you get parking mode and have to manually shut off and turn on camera when getting in/out of vehicle which is NO DIFFERENT than just using the cigarette port.

Just bought a new dash cam and saw the link for this. It is now fitted and working.Wish i had known about these years ago, my old one I used the cigerette lighter and didnt always remember to plug it in or even worse unplug it. Battery went flat when i didnt use my car for a week.Now everything is automated, so much better.

I contacted Lily at Auto Vox and she discounted the cost of this hardwire kit as I had bought the Auto Vox V5, the cable although long it was not long enough for my vehicle, I cut the length and extended it, and all seems fine it now protects my car battery from going flat

Ive just tried the product and yes it worked fine. My main problem is that my Standard sized fuse in the fuse box does not fit into that provided ... The holes are too close together so make it unusable for "piggy backing" off an occupied fuse slot . Luckily though I managed to find a spare slot which has a supply contact 😅

Cheap (but overpriced anyway) Chinese rubbish. Wired in to dash (2 hours work!) to find it flickers the camera on and off. Terrible quality broken out of the box. Isn’t even an auto Vox item! DO NOT WASTE YPUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS
