Beware: Does not have the exact same power connector configuration as Dell "DPS-300A B-26 A" power supply
The description said that it is compatible with the Dell "DPS-300A B-26 A" power supply, which is what was in my Vostro 400 desktop tower, and that is not exactly true.It will work, but if you have a PCI Express video card that requires a 6 pin power connector, this power supply does not come with that.You will need to buy an adapter cable to use one of the 4 SATA power connectors to power the PCI Express video card.If you were already using all 4 SATA power connectors on the original power supply, this could pose a problem for you, since you'd only have 3 available after powering the PCI Express video card.I was not using all 4 SATA power connectors, so I bought this [...]) for an additional $5.68 to make it work for me. I wish the description warned of this.

Replacement of the internal power supply not only saved money but time
My internal power supply went dead, no green light in the back of the computer and it wouldn't turn on at all. Ordered this one for my computer and being a novice when it comes to doing anything inside the computer was able to successfully install the internal power supply without any problem. Just match up the wires some of them you don't use. Hint, take a picture of the inside of the computer before installing the power supply with the old one in place before starting, makes replacement a snap.

PERFECT FIT
I needed a new power supply for my Dell Inspiron 560. Two screws and the side panel comes off. I looked at the label on the power supply and compared it to the list provided right beside the picture. I found that mine matched. Perfect fit! The only problem was that the wiring to the largest plug that goes to the Motherboard was tie wrapped to the power supply in place making it too short to reach. A quick snip with the cutter and it was good to go. I can't hear it run.

Close but no cigar
This power supply solved my computer problem and I'm back up and running. The only issue I had was the hole pattern didn't align with any of the fastening holes on my case. I wedged a piece of PVC pipe into the compartment to hold the power supply in place and that worked. To be fair, the power supply that came out of my computer had a different dash letter on the part number but I couldn't find one of those so I bought this unit. Perhaps if I could have found a power supply with the same part number, the holes would have aligned but I checked every source out there including Dell and couldn't find one.

Good cheap power supply unit
My 7-year old Dell 200 mini-tower deskptop was having issues, displaying an amber light and not turning on. Could not figure out what the problem was for the longest time (thought it was faulty internal components ie: memory and hard drive). Turns out it was the power supply. Popped this in and worked like a charm.Fairly quiet with only one exhaust fan. Used for several months now, running great.

must have received wrong unit
While the description says it replaces my model number (HP-P3017F3) for a dell inspirion 560. The part i received is totally different and the connections are routed different making them on the short side to reach everything, upon closer look item i have is nothing like picture..packaging was the part in a box just big enough to fit the psu. Was shipped and delievered in a timely manner.

As Advertised. Just works!
I bought this as a replacement for a Dell inspiron P/S that had died. It fit perfectly and had the same wattage rating as the one it replaced.Power Supplies are one of those things that either work or they don't. When they work you forget about them. When they dont work, nothing works.This one is working so far.. Excellent description of product and compatibility with Dell models. Very satisfied with shipping time. Thank you!

Pricey but good.
Good high quality Dell OEM replacement. I replaced the PSU in my Dell Inspiron 545 that failed. I ended up going with an Antec for my next Dell PSU replacement. The Antec seems to be a better value and very good quality with a much larger fan. But I did not find the Antec before I bought this one. Bottom line: This is a solid performer and seems to be OEM quality but go with Antec if you can.
