Jeray GHI Ice Balls Mould Set

These were for a present. Already being used and liked. Do not fill to line, fill to hole, otherwise you won't get a proper sphere. Ice balls do decrease in size over the period of a drink and they decrease unevenly. This is not a problem for me at all, just in case you were picturing something perfectly spherical.

I bought these at the same time as some other larger but cheaper ones. Both these ones make a perfect ball in a good size for my glasses and more importantly after making 10 balls none have leaked or been wasted. The others are rubbish

I've had this set for 3 months now and love it. The ice balls it makes are a decent size and you'll really only ever need 1 of them for anything up to a pint glass sized drink. I usually manage to get at least a couple of glasses of whatever I'm drinking from each ice ball.Best way to make use of these is to get in the habit of regularly storing away the frozen balls and then filling the mould up for another set. Right now I've got about 15-20 ready-made ones in a bag in the freezer - that way I'll pretty much always have enough there for whenever I invite guests over. Just keep replenishing your stock.These really do last way longer than ice cubes. Grab 3 large cubes that'll have more mass than just 1 of these balls - the cubes will be gone while the ball still has about half its mass left. This results in a less weakened drink by melting water and it's what makes these absolutely perfect for a spirits drinker - whisky, rum, whatever your fancy. These melt slowly and they cool brilliantly.

Brought these at the same time as TOVOLO ice sphere molds these ones are okay but not great if you squeeze them a little to tightly they will spill all over your freezer, it does make spheres but it will leave a line where the mold was (soon melts away though!) one tip you have to fill it over the line where it says otherwise you will have a flat side :(Overall decent but not great - personally would opt for Tovolos if i was to only purchase one (they are also much larger)

These aren't too bad.The size of the Ice Balls created are great, and one is enough to last a long time. The mounding isn't perfect, as you sometimes get an seam around the center of the ice. But I still like them.

Yeah these work really well, but can't quite get a perfect sphere was if you fill them water expands through the pouring hole.But they are still relatively cheap and quick to use.

I purchased these ice balls as they were the largest I could find that would fit the drinking glasses I wanted to use them with.The first minor issue, was that you fill them to a "fill line" to allow for expansion, and even after the water has expanded, the water doesn't fill the sphere and ends up with a flat top.The second time I used the spheres, one leaked and dumped half its water in to my freezer. I tried a few more times and the same thing happened on most occasions.Assuming I had a faulty set, I returned them to Amazon and requested a replacement.I had exactly the same problem with the replacements and emailed the manufacturer for some advice, who suggested I was over-filling the spheres. When I responded to confirm that I wasn't, they failed to respond but after three weeks and two reminders, they suggested that I should twist the two halves together to improve the seal. I tried this twice and both times, the spheres leaked half their water.The design flaw appears to be that as the water freezes and expands, it pushes the two half of the sphere apart just enough for the top half of the water to leak out and then freeze, as shown in the photo that accompanies this review.The design flaw is a shame as otherwise, this would be a nice product.

Bought for my son as a gift as he was impressed with round ice ball, I served in his whiskey last Christmas , I already own this product and is excellent , would recommend f you like ice in your whisky or any other drink for that matter.
