:: 31st Match review updated 24th June: from 5 stars down to 3 ::I'm always sceptical reading the reviews of others, however took a risk as my previous removeable wallet case (from iLuv) had magnets on the permanent slim case that prevented induction charging.This is beautifully crafted, and well packaged. The magnets do indeed ensure that the permanent case snaps into the wallet perfectly aligned, with no risk of slippage - something that was an issue with my previous case.The finish of the leather (in my case) has no imperfections and oozes quality. The stiching appears very high quality.This does not have a clasp, but does have two magnets built into the front cover, which secures it to the iPhone X inside. I agree with some comments that I can foresee the closure not being very secure when all the credit card slots are used; not an issue for me, as I only seldom use these for rail and parking tickets - to keep them close to hand. The plastic card pre-installed gives guidance on magnetic strip alignment (to prevent the magnets causing damage was a little off-putting; if I ever put a bank card in one of these slots, I hope I remember the correct orientation!).My previous wallet case had a magnetic fold-around clasp which did give slightly more confidence that everything would stay in place; however, the magnets on the Zover case feel much stronger (and the fold-around leather clasp on my previous case showed definite signs of wear and tear after a few months of use). The fact that the iPhoneX switrches off whenever the case front is closed is a really positive touch. The fact that it comes on when you open it is a benefit too, though with FaceID you do need to be prepared to position everything quickly, as the initial scan begins as soon as the cover is opened.The permanent low profile inner case is pleasing to the touch, and provides total cover of all phone edges (unlike the one with my iLuv case) which gives more confidence of drop-survival. The charging port remains fully accessible for all my cables and my Apple charging stand (no need for a lightning extender here).The circular magnet that is designed to be inside the low profile inner case (for magnetic car mounts) is not fitted as standard (it is supplied seperately in a plastic bag with an adhesive pad for fixing to the case), so I didn't have to fiddle around removing it, seeing as I wanted to use the case with my new Anker PowerWave charging pad. The inner case works perfectly with the charger - so no issues at all with cordless charging. I guess having to go without that central magnet for a car mount is a compromise (I have no idea if it will still work when enabled for cordless charging using the remaining magnets inside the permanent case with any magnetic car mounts).I can honestly say that the Zover iPhone X case is a thing of beauty, and probably the best made case I have owned over 6 iPhones and countless cases of all types. It IS expensive compared to similarly specified cases, but the extra value in materials, workmanship and design really shows - to me it feels the sort of case that Apple themselves would offer (at a much higher price!) if they made this form-factor.On day 2 of owning this, I would recommend this over all others I have seen/used (for this form factor). I promise to update this if I have any further observations to share:: Update ::As per other reviews, I have determined a repeatable issue with the inner (permanent) case which prevents Portrait mode of the camera from functioning - the camera permanently says ‘move further away’ and never allows a Portrait photo to be taken; pop the phone out of the inner case and Portrait functions normally. I have no idea if this is due to proximity of magnets or a cutout issue, but it does raise questions as to whether the overall quality of all images taken is being impacted - something harder to determine than the binary does it function or not impact on Portrait mode. Really sad about this, as otherwise this has been the only magnetic wallet case of this design that has worked well for me.Would welcome the thoughts of the manufacturer (who I know cares about the quality of its products) as to if this can be resolved or not for existing/future owners.

Nice case with great quality only downgraded to four stars as sometimes the magnetic lock can be a bit frustrating. Especially when you answer the phone and folding the case back hangs up the call.The quality of the case is exceptional offering great all round protection of your phone. From the packaging to the case itself it just exudes quality and durability. I have dropped my phone on a few occasions and no damage to case or phone.The magnetic detachable case makes using this case much easier and opens up to a wealth of accessories for both the car and homeCharging in the detachable case works perfectly wirelessly and was one of the main reasons I bought this case.Overall: great case minor bugs. Definitely would buy another but unlikely as this one will last for years 😀

This may be a more expensive case than some on offer, but if you think about the fact that the phone it’s protecting is over £1000 it’s well worth it.The magnet that holds the 2 parts together is amazing. It’s not only super strong and secure, but it also pulls the phone into the perfect position to align the camera hole and the sides of the phone. No matter how you might try to misalign it, it just won’t do it.The detachable case is also perfect as it completely encases the surround of the phone and does not expose any area of the phone if it is dropped. Sadly it means the phones beauty is hidden, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay.I have only one negative really, and that’s that amount of cards and cash that can be kept in the wallet section. You can just about have 3 credit cards but no cash, or vice versa. Any more than that and the case won’t hold closed. Maybe a clasp would have helped, but who knows. Overall I am very happy with the case and would definitely recommend it to any potential buyer who has a higher than normal budget for a high end product.

This is a good case, with the detachable feature a real selling point. Here's the issue. Other real leather cases, such as Torro are much cheaper and exactly the same level of quality.I had a Torro case, which was genuine leather, priced at £26. The only difference being that with the Zover case, the inside part of the wallet case detaches and of course can be used independently. Zover themselves make the non detachable wallet style for the IPhone X and retail this at £34.99. They then bump the price up to £54.99 for the detachable version. That seems excessive. For this price I was expecting a higher quality of leather and a real luxury feel. What I actually got was a standard leather case, simply providing a much higher profit margin for the vendor. And why is the black version of the case £5 cheaper at £49.99? Seems like if you fancy a different colour, like I did (navy blue), Zover feel it's Ok to squeeze a bit more profit from the sale. For this price the leather should be a better grade than it is. Disappointing.

EVER!Seriously... this is the best of all worlds!I always buy folio cases for my phones; ever since a truck drove by, kicked up a stone, which hit my pocket right where the screen of my old Sony Xperia Z3 just happened to be... utterly destroyed it!Most folio cases are a real pain when you want to dock your phone with your car (for example) and render wireless charging all but impossible.This "Zover" case not only has fantastic production quality, but solves 100% of the problems you normally face with folio cases, by enabling you to immediately detach your phone from the case... using MAGNETS!Even better, you can attach your phone to metal things (which is a fun party trick for a couple of seconds, but also useful when you're cleaning your car and want to put your phone somewhere without worrying it'll fall off).I've actually been looking for the same case for my wife's Android phone. I wish this case existed for every phone out there. It's the best I've ever had!
