ATN X-Sight-4k Pro Smart Day/Night Scope w/Full HD Video rec, Smooth Zoom, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is a great piece of equipment. It took a bit of getting used to, but overall it is more than was expected. In night mode w/ the infrared emitter it works exceptionally well. Its capabilities are so much greater than a FFP scope, which was the preferred purchase. For the price it is an excellent deal. The vendor delivered on schedule, do recommend them.

For the money , this scope exceeded my expectations. Works great out to 100 yards,(that's as far as I have used it).

I had used the scope for three weeks prior to it failing. All worked normally until I actually needed it to shot a animal. I bought it and spent time learning how to set it up and verify that all the features worked that I wanted. After weeks of using its features and testing it on the range indoors and out I was satisfied. Upon arriving at my yearly hunt and double checking the zero I noticed the scope lost proper color contrast in the day mode. It seems this is a stuck IR filter. The scope also dropped the ability to do recoil video. It would still :”take” photo but would lock up completely when trying to see it it recorded a photo or video. The Compass stopped working also and would not reset. It was extremely difficult to see the target with the odd colors. No pictures or video was taken. I did get lots of blank videos and had the audio recording. It basically ruined my hunting vacation. If you need a scope I would not trust your vacation to this thing.

The X-Sight 4K blew me away with the quality! The night vision and night recording are great but the day-mode video is just incredible. The 1-shot sight-in worked great and it holds its zero. Excellent product.

These scopes have been on the market for more than a few years now - which is certainly more than enough time to have worked out the kinks in this design. I really wanted to like this scope. However, out of the box, it had issues with the gyroscope, and needing a firmware update. Even after the updates and factory resets (a few), the performance of the actual optic began to rapidly deteriorate to the point that I had to ultimately return it. ATN offers the same generic troubleshooting tips for getting around the issues - which, surprise - don't work. The seller i got it from was more than gracious in their attempt to help me, and I will be checking more of their products out. But ATN as a whole has left me with a bad experience in this expensive piece of equipment. Some of the issues include screen freezing screens in either solid black or white, fading internal menu screens, no response from on board controls, abrupt powering down, and washed out sight picture - in daytime mode. The app that ATN has released (Obsidian 4) is an abomination, with connectivity issues as well as problems downloading pics and vids from the app. The streaming function is subpar with no ability to see a wide-screen version of the video. I don't want to beat up the company, but when all is said and done, you're going to be in well over a thousand dollars between the initial purchase and accessories. This kind of quality control/development is unacceptable at any price, but especially for something that is hard to afford for the average Joe such as myself. Other things to note are the fact that the controls are NOT intuitive; and the base unit is fairly heavy for what it is. I have extensive experience with other optics which just out-class this unit on both fronts. Again, I had high hopes for this unit, and really wanted to like it. But in the end, this is a product that was released way before they could have refined this and secured a good base of consumers. Unfortunately, they have left scores of people - including myself, leary of wasting hard-earned money on a product that MAY work properly - if only for a little while. For me, it was 5 days before the honeymoon abruptly came to an end. My opinion is that if you can hold out for a more proven option - even if a little more expensive, you would be wise to do so. Unfortunately, I have to give it low marks due to the bad experience.
