I will tell you whyThis goes back to the earlier order first, before I also bought this recording model and HD quality.They cameras are all rated waterproof, however within the 2 years one failed, a quick message on here and they shipped foc a replacement. While still using the old 7” non recording model I ordered this model as the recording became important due to all the insurance scams and bad drivers these days. The other reason as the original order was well out of warranty possible by 1 year another camera had fogged up, (moisture inside).While setting up this new order u had a question, so sent a message and added that part of the reason for ordering was that another of the cameras had failed now 3 years old). They said send a picture and then sent a foc replacementSo clearly this company honours the 2 year warranty into the 3rd year. Who else does that, getting 2 years is unusual alone.Getting onto the product review nowNegativesIt’s a shame they don’t sell in white, given it’s also marketed for motor homes, which have more white than any other colour.The camera lenses could be treated with moisture repellent.Given the software is so programmable, the manual could explain the options better.The SD card removal, should you want it in a pic is not hard but could be easier if you didn’t have to remove a little cover secured by a screw.You can see I’m struggling to report defects.Pluses pointsWell built, like really good qualityThe new software is so much more configurable and covers all the options you might wantThe leads are a good length, no need for extensions when going front to back of the vehicle.The Recording is good and the added remote aids the selection.I set it up to constantly record, this is a good feature to aid protecting your vehicle investmentThe display has an auto brightness setting, this is better that the old non record model, that was too bright at night, yes you could turn it down, now you don’t.I look forward to many years of use and if there is a problem, assured they will cover it, this alone makes it a really good choice, other companies might offer similar cheaper, not that this was expensive at all but this customer service is one to really focus on.ConclusionExtatic with the company, product and price.Would I buy again, I already did..
