Quality At a Great Price!
This is, simply put, a very good television at a bargain basement price. A recent lightning storm brought an early demise to the Panasonic 32" TV I had been using, along with several other of my electronics (funeral arrangements are still pending), so I popped on to Amazon to see what was available. I came across this offering from Sharp and it seemed like a good deal, but there weren't enough reviews to really give me a feel for its performance.I keep two televisions in my living room (don't judge me) and the smaller of the two, the 32 inch device, is used primarily for watching sports, so fluidity of motion is obviously an important consideration. I posted a question to the community asking about how well this set handles rapid motion and got... crickets. No answer at all. I gave it some thought and figured that Sharp would not put the Aquos label on a sub-par TV, so I bought it and I am very glad I did!The picture on this thing is absolutely gorgeous! I saw that someone complained about it being "only" 720p and let me tell you something - the debate about 1080p versus 720p is largely much ado about nothing. Sure, if you are purchasing a huge television, it does become a consideration, but with something at this size, you will not see a difference. You have a disposable piece of glass and plastic from Vizio that resolves at 1080p? Well, lah-de-freakin'-dah! For comparable money, I bought a quality device from a company which actually stands behind its products and I am certain that the picture I get is just as good as what you get, if not better. As to my question about how well it handles motion, I am very pleased. There are no stutters and there are no blurs; the game looks like it is happening in my front yard and I am watching it through a window. An earlier review stated that it almost looked 3D; I wouldn't go that far, but I do agree that the picture is astoundingly life like.Sound is actually pretty good. It does have a slightly "muted" tone to it, but it is much better overall than other flat panels I have listened to and if you aren't satisfied with the sound quality, there is always the ability to add a sound bar or surround sound system.Bottom line... I haven't tested every television available, of course, but I think you would be hard pressed to find a better one in this price and size range; if you are on the fence about it, hop down and buy it, because you won't regret it.

Pic OK, but not a good TV in my experience, bad customer service at Sharp
The pic is clear when you get it on the right settings for your distance and place of where you watch the TV and stay there.Pic quality changes if you move closer or to the side.I think the size is great for a bedroom. Sound is OK if it stays on one volume. No instructions on TV or remote and Sharp tech support is useless( Amazons tech support tried to help and were very polite). Many issues with this TV could not be resolved none the less.Volume changes when channels change.Cant set fav channels with no instructions on remote/TV and Sharp wouldn't /couldn't tell me how on the phone nor would e mail instructions on how to use it.Can't make use of many *so called features* since no one at Sharp /would/could tell me how to make use of them.No wake up alarm which you would think any TV would have( esp a size normally used for a bedroom). My old TV was really old, an off brand and had that feature. It also could be set to channel 3 and the volume only changed on commercials at times.DVD player wouldn't work with it ( not an old DVD player), so not much use to someone who is a movie buff.( me)Called and got instructions from Amazon on how to set up DVD and the TV did acknowledge a DVD player was on.Pic was very fuzzy and the TV wouldn't go to channel 3 . E mailed and called for help on that issue as well as remote functions( Amazon and Sharp)Amazon sent instructions by e mail, Sharp refused to.Amazon has been very helpful, but this must be either a really low drawer TV or I got a bum one since it didn't rectify issue.Screws for stand not fit and luckily had 2 that did.The ones supplied were to short.Would never buy a Sharp ANYTHING again.About the volume changing if interested.Sharp says its normal after * checking resources*Volume changes when changing channels that have a point 1 or 2 behind them from one that does not. For exp. change from channel 6 to 4.1 or any non point channel to a channel with a point ( volume drops dramatically) also volume changes on commercials2 SHARP tech support techs claimed that was odd and that they never heard of that but after a 3rd call about other issues, remote, etc.,changed their mind about the volume issue ( the 3rd tech) after "checking resources" and said its normal for that TV with Time Warner Cable.Never had that issue with old TV and TWCSending back and getting a Samsung.Amazon has been great working with me and will buy further electronics from them esp if have tech support for 30 days. That is a fabulous offer if you need it.Its not a bad picture or sound, it just isn't half of what I would expect or as advertised and have had horrible " non-service" from maker. Can't wait for my Samsung to show up at the door.

The picture is gorgeous, sharp and enjoyable to watch and the slim profile and bezel of it give the impression of a much smaller television. I bought this to replace a 26" Toshiba that I bought for my bedroom 4 or 5 years ago and I was wary of going up in size but this looks great, fits in the same space and looks cleaner and attractive. To get it at this price is fantastic. Set up was pretty easy, (when I initially connected the component wires from my cable box the color was off and I was upset, thinking I got a bum tv but after streaming in gorgeous color from my Roku and turning the cable box off and on everything calibrated and the picture has been stellar ever since, no issues.) The sound is okay, much better than my previous tv but theres only so much depth you're going to get from a flat tv. Luckily audio out is there and convenient so I have full sound from my stereo and great picture from the tv. The television is also surprisingly lightweight. I could probably lift the box it came in in one hand but the base seems pretty sturdy so I dont worry about toppling. The remote is clearly where some costs were cut. I don't care about remotes so it's not a problem for me but if you do care I'd warn you that the remote is fairly barebones and cheap feeling. All in all the tv is as advertised, dimensions and all and if you don't need any smart features (you're better off hooking up a roku or apple tv anyway) then this is lovely.
