Pros: looks good, pretty solid, and functional. Can’t wait to put a book or two in it next to a plant that’s sitting in a niece Boho planter.Cons: I absolutely hated building this thing. Like I’d rather buy a Monthly membership to a club where a guy with big hands wears a catchers mitt while he checks my prostate than build this 13th century torture device again. I’ve built furniture before , and while there are always one or two parts that are a pain in the butt, most build at home furniture isn’t much of a headache for me.This thing felt like every part of it was the worst part.Every screw was difficult.Every turn was pain.Every twist led to someplace darkIt changed meIt was like an episode of Band of Brothers, but I was all alone, it wasn’t WW2, there were no Germans, and I was just building a stupid bookshelf in my living room in the middle of a global pandemic.I wanted to quit so many times, but I also didn’t want to deal with it in the morning so I just soldiered on like some sort of prisoner on the third level of endless IKEA hell.I got it half assembled and realized the largest pieces were on the wrong sides so I had to take it apart and start over. Yeah, I read the instructions, but when you’re in a blind rage where you’re just torquing an Allen wrench into oblivion, sometimes you miss an instruction or two.Towards the end, I was a lot like Ralphie in Christmas story when he beats up the bully. Remember that part? That was me - I was just crying and crying and swearing up a storm that would make a Midwestern Italian cross country truck driver proud while punching away with an Allen wrench until my knuckles started to bleed and my wife went into the other room.3/5 stars

I shopped around for a while to find a ladder-style shelf with drawers. I love this one because it holds a lot, but doesn’t take up too much space or look bulky.The color is a bit darker in person than the online photos. I actually prefer the color in person, so this was fine by me!It was pretty easy to assemble, fairly straightforward. Though I did notice, as other reviewers mentioned, the backing board does not line up with the predrilled holes. I got around this by using small nails on the edge of the backing. You could probably use a staple gun as well or just leave the backing off.I am very pleased at the sturdiness and quality. Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend this shelf!

Three stars because it works and looks good.Two main problems are:1) The package contained double the right side "sawhorse". This meant all the holes were drilled wrong for the left side. The bookshelf was still able to be put together, but left hardware exposed and required the used of several zip ties because the lowest bolt attachments could not be used.2) The veneer on this is surprisingly soft and thin. The first thing I did was try to remove a stick from the product using my finger nail and it scraped the finish as though I had done so with a knife. I checked on other (out of view) spots and had similar issues.In the end, I got it put together and it will work, but with the benefit of hindsight I should have bought another product.

You will spend significantly more time assembling this item than assembling a comparable IKEA product.Panel joints do not align panes precisely, so you will spend lots of time tying and untying bolts to make the panels fit precisely? Again, IKEA solves this problem easily with wooden sticks.The paint is very soft, metal objects will leave marks on the surface easily. For example, metal tips of a power plug or a charging cable will leave dark lines on the surface.The wood that the unit is built from is actually quite soft. The unit came dented in several places, yet some more cracks appeared during assembly.The only positive feedback is that the unit is pretty spacious, stable, and provides convenient access to shelves and drawers. I would not buy it again, however.

I only have 30 inches on either side of my queen bed. I use this one as a nightstand as well as for shelving. Working great. The gray (bluish) shows just enough of the brown wood and the finish is very nice. Sturdy too. Warning: during assembly I went all out tightening everything. The "box" assembly that holds the drawers was tightened too much and I couldn't get the drawers inside at the end. I forced them in but they are still very tight after a couple of months. Suggest testing the drawer slides before putting everything together.

Shipment came quickly as promised. Assembly was reasonable. 1 hour tedious, steady pace. Went to put drawers in cabinet and found they had installed the wrong drawer rollers on one side of cabinet. No live customer service, did call back later that day to initiate replacement part process. They sent an email asking for some purchase & product lot # info before approval of part replacement (not all info asked for was actually available for particular purchase since it was a form letter application). No confirmation call or email that replacement part being sent. About 15 VM and emails over next 10 d to ask if needed more information, finally a reply from customer service. Part finally sent. After 1 addition shipment delay, received after another 1 1/12 weeks. You would have to literally have to take the entire bookshelf apart to get the new piece in so I drilled new holes to put new roller hardware in right position. Found while removing old hardware that they had 2 different sets of drilled holes under the hardware (all in the wrong position) so they obviously knew they were having problems in the factory and still didn’t check their work (terrible QC). Tried to initiate a return to Amazon b/c didn’t want such shoddy workmanship ( if one part poorly made, just a matter of time b/f some other part breaks), but would need to disassemble and wrap up for shipment back. Wasn’t worth effort. Just kept it, will buy different product when this breaks. Do NOT recommend.

This requires a little extra attention and room when building but is still pretty easy. I noticed when assembling, some surfaces weren’t flush, which could be due to the fact it is actual wood, when it came together, you can’t notice. I got mine around 43% off or so, in at 220$ or something. I noticed the regular price of 500$ which would be pretty steep for this item, for my thoughts anyway.

Very nice and sturdy, but the drawers are almost impossible to open.
