Definitely best for very low temps and thankful I have it when the windchill is painful!
Have a decent collection of OR gear for cold weather. Eyed up getting a balaclava for awhile and finally went with this one when it was slated to get down into the teens and single digits for a few days here with some snow in the forecast. It strikes a good balance between being lightweight, comfortable, yet sufficiently warm. Relatively thin material and insulation is impressive given its actual performance. Went with the Large/XL and fit was in line with what I expected. Material that covers the mouth and nose is breathable and generally stays put. Stuffs easily into a jacket pocket or bag and takes up minimal space. Definitely best for very low temps and thankful I have it when the windchill is painful.
