Got it as a gift. He loved it! It looks really cool if you put a flashlight to it, and it can be used as a unique display.

Crazy cute, different gift due to hospital requirement not to bring flowers to daughters room. Placed ot in window not seeing anything while visiting. But the next day daughter call saying she woke to an amazing ray of beautiful colors! 😍 If had to do over would have gotten bigger one!

This prism is VERY cool and I am very happy with it. My only beef is that while the product description does give it's dimensions with a warning that it is small, the product PICTURE shows a prism FAR larger than this. The open hand holding the prism in their palm is highly inaccurate. It is no where near that big.

Yes, it is small, yes, it is slightly more expensive for a piece of glass than you'd expect. However, the glass is a high quality, optics grade glass meant for scientific demonstrations, not necessarily as a desk knick knack. I got this for my girlfriend who is a physics major with an interest in optics, and she's gotten a kick out of inspecting the way it interacts with light and looking at the internal reflections. The prism is made up of four pieces of glass.
