Captain Paul Watson: Interview with a Pirate Paperback – Illustrated, 1 May 2013

Paul Watson, founder of Sea Shepherd, is given the opportunity to give a brief outline of some of the organisation's campaigns, and why protecting the oceans is essential for protecting all life on earth. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough.

Though perhaps "interview" is not the actual context of this book (the interviewer is fully on the side of the subject and "challenging" questions appear to be selected from previous public encounters) it sheds a fascinating light on the workings of a particularly important (be it still rather small) social stream, and offers in a fascinating exposure of some governments who support and/or drive criminal activities, yet are afraid to stand up and say so.

This man is an absolute hero! Wonderful!

This is a book everyone should read but especially those in the environmental and sustainability fields. It has a clarity and honesty that is rare. It is also a gem for those of us in the field looking to pick up strategies for effectively protecting life on our planet.

Wow! What a motivating read! Captain Watson is a driven, motivated individual that clearly and with purpose explains his mission in life. If only the world were filled with such altruistic passion for good. Reading this book, while interesting, also makes me more confident in myself and expressing my beliefs. Read this book. It will be tops on the list of books that changed your life and you'll recommend it to others. Guaranteed!

What a guy this Paul Watson is! He is indeed a doer, not just a talker. The natural world needs more like him if we are to survive.

.. this is a must read.Paul Watson is a passionate, compassionate and courageous soul. He also is very articulate. I totally agree with almost every thing he says. I have thought for a very long time that we are eating our oceans to death. He does an outstanding job of articulating my fears. And yet, somehow he remains optimistic and focused.I was afraid this book would be dry and depressing, but it is not. On the contrary, it is inspirational.
