Disappointment!
The app for this camera is having problems all the time. Sometimes it reads the SD card, and sometimes doesn’t. Struggling to load the recorded videos from motion alarm. At times, suddenly motion detection goes offline.Been very disappointed with this camera so far after 3 months.

Feature rich, if a little technical and rough round the edges.
First up, what I write here isn't a patch on the review that Charles Hooper left for this product over on Amazon.com so you should go and read that first. Don't worry, I'll wait for you.Back, okay - I'll try to give my perspective comparing to my limited experience of IP cameras. I previously tried the DBPOWER 720p Pan/Tilt WiFi Wireless Surveillance IP Security Camera but returned it due to the ropey software and inability to access streams in any way except through their ropey software. The two way talk is nice but I found the noise coming from the camera unacceptable. This camera seems pretty well built. It's got a plastic body but it's solid enough. There's a metal bracket with a camera mount style attachment to position the camera either as a stand or attach to a wall. The power cable is pretty long but there's only a short network cable. I imagine most people will be connecting via Wi-Fi so this should be a problem, but you'll need it for initial setup.I'd recommend contacting TriVision support to get the latest versions of firmware and the PC software. I emailed them and they replied in under an hour - very impressive service - but you need to know who to contact as they have almost zero visible web presence! The PC software does the job, as does the AnyScene app for mobile. The camera's web interface also appears to support most functionality including viewing the stream and system settings. They're not the slickest design but they're functional. As well as via the software, the camera makes various other streams available which you can connect to directly or via third party mobile apps such as IP Cam Viewer.Putting a MicroSD card in the side allows you to record snapshot images and full video, either constantly or in response to movement. There are options to have these emailed to you or stored to a FTP server or NAS. Full video involves some pretty large files - around 300Mb for 10 minutes 1080p video so it might be best to archive to a local network drive via a wired connection if possible.Overall I'm pretty happy with the TriVision. It's flexible enough to integrate with whatever other systems you might have and doesn't have the expensive monthly fees that other systems require to do what this can (for example the Nest Cam Security Camera charges £240/year for 30 days video storage). To get the most out of it you do need a level of technical knowledge and a willingness do a bit of research and testing. Starting with reading Charles Hooper's review on Amazon.com. Seriously, go and read it now.I received this camera at a discounted price but that's not affected this review!

I found setting up and installation very easy. I use my camera on a wireless network
Well where to start this is the first security camera I have ever had. I found setting up and installation very easy. I use my camera on a wireless network.I have a 128 gig SD card inserted and find it plentyful for my needs, the night vision is excellent, but be careful in the task manager with the email notification or you will soon have a full mail box. I intend only to use the email notification when I am away. The second night after I had installed the camera it caught a thief stealing a mobility scooter from the property next door to me, the video was crystal clear the face and features of the thief were there for all to see.I received this item at a discount price but this has no way influanced my review

Quite easy to set up, lovely clear picture.
Last year we installed a wired external CCTV system which gave us peace of mind as we had some 'undesirables' living across the road (thankfully they've moved out & our lovely little cul-de-sac is safe and peaceful once again! We also had new windows and a front door fitted with seriously strong locks but unfortunately didn't have the funds to replace our back door & sliding patio door (both situated in the kitchen). Whilst I feel pretty safe in the house, I'm fully aware that the rear of the property is not as safe as it could be.So I decided to get an internal camera and was offered this at a discount in return for my honest & unbiased review. I know it won't stop someone breaking in, but it has given me peace of mind when I hear 'bumps in the night' especially as my husband often works night shifts. Many times I've crept down the stairs, certain that I'm going to come face to face with someone running off with the TV, only to find that the cat has knocked a plant pot over!!My knowledge of wireless networking is pretty basic, so when I opened the box & started reading through the instructions I was initially a bit apprehensive however, once I worked out that for the initial set up the camera needs to be connected to the router the rest was fairly simple. So, what do you get in the box?The camera (I have to be honest, it feels like quite a cheap plastic - but not having anything to compare it to maybe they're all like this?)Power cord with interchangeable plug (uk, Europe & USA I believe)Wall bracket with wall plugs & screws (if you want to permanently attach it to a wall - which I think is a very good idea)Short Ethernet cable (for the initial set up)Quick Set Up guide & Full Instruction Booklet. How easy is it to set up?It doesn't have a WPS button so needs to be connected to your router for the initial set up.I used my laptop for the set up - popped the disk in & followed the on screen instructions... This took a few mins. Then I disconnected the camera from the router & placed it in the kitchen.I downloaded the AnyScene app onto my iPhone & iPad, the app then asks for your network key/password (usually found on the bottom of your router)Type the key/password into the app & it automatically connects to your camera. The app asks if you want alerts - I selected yes initially, however it texts you everytime it detects movement so I will only use this facility if we're away from the home. The picture is very clear & gives a wide view of the kitchen. It has a mic built in so you can hear what's going on as well as viewing it.The camera has a slot for a micro SD card (required for recording detected movement). All in all it was quite easy to set up. When I've got time I'll read through the full booklet as it gives you advanced settings - at the moment I'm just happy I've got it up and running!Apologies if this is review isn't very technical - I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff but I guess if I managed to set it up ok then most people would be able to.
