NACH Rustic Cast Iron Dinner Bell, JS-90-349

Great quality and sound.

We've only had this bell for a few days and just got around to hanging it up yesterday. We bought it to use inside our house to call the kids down from their room when we want them. We got tired of standing at the foot of the stairs and screaming our lungs out for them to finally hear us. This bell is nice and LOUD and they have been told that when they hear it ringing they need to come downstairs to see what we want. It looks great too, where we have it hanging in it's hook on the inside of a large doorway frame. It didn't come with hardware but all you need is two black wood screws.It's a nice black cast-iron bell, and has a nice heft to it. I also plan to use this bell to call the kids in from outside when they're out playing or riding bikes in the other neighborhood behind ours. Definitely beats hollering on the front steps or back porch for them. I just wish I had bought this several years ago!!!UPDATE 8.8.14 - This bell is just great!! We have the kids trained now to come running when they hear it. We don't even have to ring it very loud for very long anymore. It has gotten a lot of compliments from people who have seen it hanging in our inner doorway. This is a very cool bell!

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very heavy duty bell. I was concerned about some of the other reviews, however it's very nice. The screw on the handle is loose during shipping, so before using it I lined it up and tighten the handle to the inside screw holding the bell. It looks antique and because of the weight feels great to hold and ring. It looks and feels like a higher priced item than what I paid on amazon.It is very loud and can easily be heard throughout the house or outside when it's time to eat or go. I posted a video so you can hear the ring tone. No more yelling up the stair for the kids to come down!

We bought this bell to train our dog to come. My husband and I both grew up with bells hanging next to our back doors. Besides a doorbell, growing up we used ours to call the dog in. Today the dog we have will come for me but not my husband. Using the bell he will come for anyone. We hang the bell just inside the back door.

If you actually use the bell, to you know, ring a bell, you might want to keep looking. We bought this bell to train our pets to come in from the backyard for feeding time. It has a beautiful look and a clear sound, but used every day the handle often becomes unscrewed. Easy enough fix (just screw it back in), but I wasn't expecting to have to re-adjust it every few weeks.

We were pleasantly surprised with this product. The bell is sturdy and makes a nice loud pleasant ring! We gave it as a gift to friends with a country house, and it is perfect! Simple and good looking - and a good buy for the price.

Use it as a dinner bell on our ranch. Mounted it on the patio. Much better quality than expected. Sound remind me of the old school bells. Sound is clear and loud. Solid heavy.

It was very useful in keeping bad luck and less than nice sprites away.
