Nice
Easy to put together and has hooks to secure to the ground for grass, if u don’t use these then it does knock down with the wind or a hard kick to the frame but is good for the price

Works well
My boys are 8,6,4. We have regular kind of 40ft garden with fake grass (vital). Kids are out in the garden a LOT playing football. Every day. I'd say if you have kids 5 or under, you could settle with the pop up goals. This works well when they're a bit more resilient and can dive around etc. But no harm getting one of these earlier. We used to have 2 small pop up style goals which gradually rotted over a 3 month period so have no chucked them and bought this. Now had it a few weeks. We got the 6 ft one and that works well for this age range. I think the netting is quite strong actually (better than pop ups which fell apart) and the frame looks as though it'll last a good while as the metal is quite strong. It is quite wobbly as a structure though so a hard kick on the frame is likely to knock it over from time to time (forwards). But then the whole thing is really light- a 4 year old can easily move it. If it falls on a kids head (it has done although so far not the metal to head- rather the net falls on them and they have to extract themselves- something they do fine- although, it's not going to cause a serious injury just a moment's tears worst case). You can't have super light and super sturdy I guess. We can't secure it due to fake grass- but noone seems to care. Not sure the pegs would have done much anyway.Visually, it doesn't offend too much as colour fits into a garden and the struts are quite thin.

HONEST REVIEW - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
8 foot goal. My son is 7. Value for money is there when compared to other goals of similar size. The instructions were horrific. The frame is very easy to assemble but the biggest issue people have is the netting. The two red markers are for the top corners and this isn't mentioned anywhere. You may as well throw the instructions away once you've built the frame. The best way to put it together is to have someone hold the frame while you gradually takes bits of it apart to slot the net on. It was just trial and error for me. I thought it was just me getting old and being crap at this type of thing but after looking at the other reviews today, I can see its a problem with the product and instructions. I made a mistake and had to take some of the frame apart again to redo the netting. The nuts and bolts are small and fiddly with no spares. Very easy to lose them outdoors in the grass. This is made worse by the fact you have to keep taking the frame apart in sections to slot the net. Moving the goal around can slacken the nuts and bolts so once you're happy with the net, tighten them well. I lost a set simply taking the goal out for its second use.The pegs are crap. They bend easily if you hit a rock underground. I'm sure they would be okay on most fields or grassy areas. I improvised with some old shelf brackets to hold mine into the ground. Some thicker tent pegs would help.Time will tell how this will hold up after being pelted with heavier balls but for a first goal for a child under 8, I think its okay once you pass the initial frustration of putting it together.Cheap, pretty crap, but good value for money compared to other options and does the job. For how long, who knows.

Shocking Quality
Shocking Quality... I honestly don't know how this product has such a good rating!I ordered these goals for my 8 year old son's birthday.I knew the second I assembled the goal that this would not last 5 minutes. Really poor and weak thin metal. My son is 8 and it's not exactly that he is gong to hammer the ball into the back of the net, but the frame is already bent from the ball hitting the post. The metal frame is no thicker that a stick of rock from the seaside....When you look at the picture there is a teenage kid hitting a ball on the volley ... There is absolutely no chance the net would withstand this as again would rip through the net on first impact. Can't imagine we will get our money back as after one weekend of use it is now bent and the net frayed in certain points. Will put it down to a bad experience - don't waste your money you will be disappointed. If your child is intending on using a foam or fly away ball... You might be safe!

Cheap quality
The goal itself is too lightweight to keep pinned down, even with hammering the pegs into the ground. It said net was durable however ours began to perish and tear when goals were scored within around a month of use.Son is very happy and keeps him entertained but quality could be better

Value for money and very suitable for 4- 6 yrs approx.
Reviews said tricky to assemble but there were two of us so no problem. The net had to be woven in and out the poles before you clipped some of them together but if you went wrong they were easily taken apart so no real problem. Took us about 15 - 20 mins. I would say it’s for using on grass as you can peg it down and use a light child ball. It was a great success with both children and adults alike. Even the adults reliving their glory days with the light ball didn’t manage to dismantle any of the goals. For £19.99 it was great value. However I bought the 4 /6ft and think for older / teenage children using a bigger heavier ball might need a sturdier frame or at least more pegs to keep it in place. I recommend both product and supplier.
