Chess King 4 Deep Pro with Houdini 4 Pro Chess Software (Strongest Version, New for 2014)

This item scores highly because of its ease of use. It is not necessary to wade through journals of stuff before you can use it. Just load and play. Its not good as a teacher of basics or any particular aspect of the game. Its strength lies in analysis and so is a good tool for those of us who already know how to play and want to improve.

On my windows 10 laptop, it encounters a problem whenever I try to analyse a game or a position. It may be to do with my setup.

I purchased yesterday on the 14/7/15.. Received a few hours ago and I have to say this is an amazing piece of kit. Past chess games, current chess games, this CD Rom will satisfy all your needs to improving your game. I'm a pretty strong chess player, but upon using this software I've allready seen where I've gone wrong finding better moves using the analytical chess engine... This CD Rom has blown me away. Well worth the fifty odd quid to buy. Set up specific positions and store them, store games from other sites and the 5million game library will keep me busy for a few years too.

My husband, who is already an accomplished chess player, is pretty impressed with Chess King. He would recommend it to anyone who is interested in chess.

I renewed my interest in Chess after 30 years and thought it best to start again using a training program. I found several but was instantly attracted to Chess King 4 Pro. I am extremely happy I decided to buy this program, it is absolutely a brilliant program to learn and play chess. There is a training section which includes amongst others Quest Mode where you play games from easiest to grandmaster level and Chess Puzzles where you solve puzzles. Both features grant access to new quests/puzzles when you advance and is an invaluable and very nice way to become a better player. In training mode you can also play Classical chess, where you can manually set the strenght of your computer controlled opponent, Random games and Custom games. In Analysis Mode you can analyze any game or any position, and that is a great way to learn from your mistakes. In Games Mode you have access to an enormous database of games played live all over the world, in total more than 6 million! You can replay these games at your own pace and enjoy and learn from them. Chess King 4 Deep pro comes included with Houdini 4 Pro Chess engine, Houdini is the strongest chess engine in the world. Add to this all the fabulous support you get and my advice: buy this program, enjoy it and quickly become a far better chess player. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any chess player, from beginner to pro.

There is no single resource that will make you an instant high-rated chess player; not even a personal human tutor. This software will certainly speed the process of becoming a good player, assuming you are of ordinary intelligence.I first learned to play chess more than 50 years ago. After a 40 year hiatus I recently started playing again. For someone who has spent most of their life without the benefit of a computer, this is miraculous.Chess is a visual game. I usually learn best from books, but I have found that trainers like this and video is much better with chess.The software installed without incident, does everything it is advertised to do and is especially good for beginners or anyone who hasn't played for a while.There is of course a cheaper version which should be fine for most people.

I recently got interested in chess again, and picked up a few books on it.I wanted a copy of Chess Master, or something similar.Chess King seemed to be the best option, so I took a chance with it.It has a 2700+ rating, which is pretty good... definitely strong enough to rate your games, and note areas you could improve on.Or to give a challenge, if you want to play the program.You can have it handicap its' play, because most of us are not 2700 rated.The instruction set isn't the best.Which almost warrants a loss of a star.However, there are dozens of free tutorials on Youtube, which is pretty accessible to everyone.The first feature that I'm really liking is the analysis.It will take advantage of up to 32 processor cores, and use 256GB of system ram.Not many systems have that level of system resources, but whatever your system has it basically will use to the fullest extent.You can enter/record each of your games played, and have the program provide analysis of better moves you could have made.That's going to show areas that you can improve your game.You can use it to analyze an opponent's opening repertoire, if you have a selection of their games.I'm getting a lot of use out of the game database too.The chess books usually have a bit of analysis and then some example games to showcase whatever the book is teaching, through actual games.It's a lot easier to look up [U.Andersson - F.Gheorghiu, Moscow 1982) in the engine... an then push next move, next move, next move... then it is to manually move each piece according to the notation the book gives.This is making following the numerous examples much easier.So the concentration can be applied to whatever the book is discussing, while basically watching the game play out... at the pace you're playing (pushing the next turn button).So far, I've had this program for a few weeks and really love it.I've only scratched the surface of its features.

Programme facile à installer et à utiliser (videos d'explications sur internet ou sur le site de chess king).La base de données est énorme (plus de 5 millions de parties!).Le programme de jeu permet de choisir son niveau du débutant jusqu'au grand maitre car le logiciel dépasse le classement élo du champion du monde.Pour ma part,joueur de club,j'utilise beaucoup la base de données et le mode analyse,le programme de jeu joue également des ouvertures vraiment diversifiées ce qui est bon pour l'apprentissage.Je suis vraiment très satisfait.

Un programa potente y sencillo de manejar,!perfecto!.Ideal para el que no quiere estar a la última en la forma de configurarle.Me encanta su diseño.

It didn't work for me since I couldn't install it in Windows 8.1. Eventually I had to return the merchandise. Sorry but that was no good
