TOTES AMAZEBALLS
I'm always on the hunt for new ways to remove hair as it can prove to be downright expensive (and kind of painful). I've done it all from laser hair removal (REALLY expensive and results are not great), going to any number of beauty salons and getting beauticians at home. Apart from hot wax (if you haven't tried it, you should!) which isn't done by many beauticians, this is by far the best - even if I do have to do it by myself. I started small, with the eyebrows, which proved to be RIDICULOUSLY easy, and a lot less painful than someone else doing it and I loved the results! I then moved onto the bikini line...same as above. I HATE getting my bikini line done at the beauticians cos it hurts so much but I really found this just as effective and alot less painful (I think it's more painful at the beauticians because of anticipation, not because they are doing anything wrong). I'm going to do my underarms next!As for the bad reviews, just ignore them. Clearly some people just aren't proficient at waxing. It DOES remove all the hairs and it really is easy. I'm sure Youtube will have some tutorials if you're not feeling that confident. My only advice would be to not be scared of pulling the strips - it'd be very painful if you aren't confident and pulling slowly. Hold no prisoners just like your beautician would!

Great for coarse hair!
Purchased as a more natural way of getting rid of hair. I had tried plenty of brands selling hot wax, cold wax, wax strips etc but they all seemed to play Russian Roulette with my leg hair. Having gone through multiple waxing preps and aftercare methods with the same lacklustre results, not forgetting redness, irritation and the joy of ingrown hairs and inflammation (from bikini wax) I became pretty despondent.Heard about sugar paste which led me to sugar wax. Saw this advertised in a well known drug store but they were out of stock so ordered via Amazon. This is my second order and after paying £20 for a larger pot of sugar wax by another brand I will be sticking with Sugar StripEase. I didn't think you could screw up a product that contains sugar and citric acid but low and behold twenty quid down the drain. This is by far the best wax I have ever used. Heating instructions are accurate using the microwave. I did find after about 30 mins the wax became too solid to continue so had to reheat. Have since purchased a wax heater for longer waxing sessions. The 100% natural ingredients are a real bonus and apparently unlike other hot waxes the sugar only sticks to the "hairs" and not the skin, leaving the protective barrier on your skin?Like other comments I agree it is less painful on the bikini area than other waxes. And for the hairs on my legs, which point in every direction known to man, being able to wax over the same area multiple times without damage to your skin or any irritation is a real plus. The same goes for underarm hair which generally grows in 2-3 different directions.I deducted a star for three reasons which should be considered.1) The price. It depends on how much you use, the coarseness of your hair etc but I would like to see more than 250 grams for £10.2) Should come with more wax strips. Ran out part way through, yes you can buy more relatively cheaply online or wash the strips you have already used - a very messy job, leaves the strips less sturdy wouldn't recommend.3) You can easily burn the sugar wax (making it unusable) when reheating the pot if it is too empty. If microwaving a full pot the instructions given apply. However if you are reheating a pot that isn't nearly full the heating time required is drastically less. You can tell when you have burnt it, and when it cools it is rock hard like treacle. A waste of money if not forewarned.Still very impressed by the product and will continue to use for underarms and bikini, but will look for another product for "finer" leg hairs (grips coarse hair very well, not so great on the finer hair) that is more economical.

Brilliant - and BUAV approved
I used to sugar several years ago using The Body Shop's sugaring product. I then used different hair removal methods for a few years, but recently decided to go back to sugaring only to find that TBS had discontinued their range! No problem though, as a quick search on Amazon brought up several alternatives.I chose this Sugar StripEase product as it is BUAV approved, and I liked the look of the packaging. It's really easy to use - just pop it in the microwave for the prescribed time and its the perfect consistency. On first use I achieved better results than I have gotten from my epilator for the past few years. The sugar wax smells yummy, and the strips are good quality and washable - they're not cotton strips, but made out of an interfacing-type fabric. Just put them in some water and the sugar solution soaks away. However, you don't get that many in the box (only 20), so I was pleased I purchased a pack of 100 strips from another seller on Amazon, which as it turned out were made of the same material and so also reusable.Overall, very happy with this purchase and will buy again when necessary.

beware it is not so easy on coarse hair
Having tried many different hair removal methods I was excited to try this one, however... beware it is not so easy on coarse hair :( I love that the strips are reusable but it really does take a few attempts to get the hair off! Although still as painful as other waxes, I noticed a significant reduction in irritation after waxing, just slight redness which disappears soon after! But no nasty bumps/itchyness or irritation, so for that it is a great product. I think I'll maybe stick to the salon but it was worth a try and does work after a while, though you have to go over the same patch over and over again if you want to get rid of all the hairs which does hurt a bit! Overall, good product and better than other brands I've tried.

messy, does not work on coarse hair, but could be v. good for beginners in the subject
It is hard to reach a perfect temperature of the product, resulting either in scalding or a paste too thick to work well. It is very messy to work with, and does not remove coarse hair well. I tried it as I hate wax residue, but apart of cleaning well enough under hot shower, it does not have many advantages over wax. Might be good to start with if you do not have a wax warmer and are not sure if you will like this adventure.
