Great product. If you like the flavor of burdock, they you will not be disappointed with this. Frontier is a great brand and I think this is a good price. When I can't find the fresh root, Frontier is my go-to.

This is a PURE product, is absolutely premium, freshness for months, is potent, comes in a great foil bag but the Taste is something I can't explain! Mt family always tells me I could eat poison as long as somebody tells me it's healthy! HONESTLY, that is TRUE! As long as it's healthy I xan stand on business and 10/10 enjoy it, whatever it is. But THIS? Words CANNOT describe it! Adding sweetners only makes it worse!!!!! HONEST TO GOD, this taste like Pure HELL! I'm so sorry! Now I don't know what to do with it! GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT, AWARD WINNING PRICING, but the taste- which is not the Seller's own fault. This comes from nature. No matter where you buy, in pure form, it tastes like this! All said, it is a BEYOND 5-STAR Product all across the board! The harvesting, cleaning and manufacturing is Superb! Super clean peoduct, well manufactured, just Gross!

All of these reviews on different teas are mixed together, just so you all know- I'm on the Valerian page, yet I purchased burdock root tea. Burdock doesn't smell or taste especially good, but it's certainly good FOR you. Because it's the root, it works particularly well in a decoction, where it's boiled on a stove top. Burdock is detoxifying and cleansing, as well as nourishing for your kidneys. It's full of nutrients, and can be helpful when used in herbal tonics. As always, I'm disappointed with the cheap unsealable mylar bags from Frontier. However, the quality of the herbs is there. I had to purchase a whole set of Kraft airtight bags just so I can put their herbs into something more secure. This is why I often choose Starwest Botanicals over them if I'm not sure which one to go with. I used this Burdock root in my specialty tea blend, Vitamin C Tea. It contains many nutritious dried herbs and fruits that make it an excellent replacement for sugary juices and sodas. It came out great, and I made many teabags full of it. The tea knocks out a cold or flu immediately, and the burdock is a vital part of the recipe.

Burdock Root has a LOT of Health Benefits, including a Diuretic Action (so GO Real SLOW at first, especially if you are already on a Rx Drug Diuretic for High Blood Pressure... be REAL CAREFUL, Start with a VERY SMALL AMOUNT, and then Build Up, GRADUALLY... ). I recommend you consume ALL of whatever you Brew Up, or put any unused amounts into your Refrigerator... it grows MOLD if you just leave it out, overnight, so don't do that. Burdock Root has a Very EARTH-DIRT Taste, as it's a ROOT that grows in the Ground, so it takes "GETTING USED TO THE TASTE", and I am also buying it here to be SAFE, because in the Wild, it also likes to Grow with Other VERY SIMILAR LOOKING ROOT-PLANTS that are TOXIC POISONS, and it's EASY to MIX THEM UP, if you don't know what you're doing. I do NOT want to have to Deal with THAT RISK, so for me, spending the Modest Amount of $$$ for this is well worth the SAFETY I get with it. I take it for the HEALTH BENEFITS, NOT the Taste. I look upon it as "MEDICINE", which as a Child, I was always used to "MEDICINE" as having "BAD TASTE", so that's what This Is... BAD TASTE, but GOOD For Your HEALTH. Burdock Root contains various Minerals, including Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Calcium, Iron, and Copper. It also contains Vitamin-C, B6, and Folate. It has DIURETIC Action, and is also considered Beneficial for Proper Digestion. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) has known about Burdock Root for Thousands of Years, and used it to Treat MANY Problems of the Lungs, Stomach, and Skin. I rate this 5-STARS, as it's a GREAT VALUE for this Chopped Up Version, that you can make a Herbicidal Tea Infusion, and Benefit Healthwise from. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this, and say... "GO FOR IT... !!!"
