Screw fastener isn’t all that
These lock as they should but the adjustment to get them to hold enough for a reading but soft enough to allow you to take the reading is not very refined. Theyl get you out of a muddle but not for the serious machinist/ mechanic

Little crunchy but do the job
They are what they are and you cant expect Starrett or Mitutoyo quality at this price point BUT, they do work, and I'm sure with a little de-burring they'd be perfect. Very usable quality for sub £30.
