this was the first seiko 5 automatic watch i bought and i am very pleased with the quality.i bought the watch for the sweeping second hand and its very nice. date and day were easy to set, time was easy to set, accuracy is also good.

The RRP of £225 seems very exaggerated. I have paid £52 something plus shipping and I'm glad I did not pay more than that. From the picture the watch looks very heavy and solid. In reality the strap is rather light, wobbly and the connection to the clasp does not look very robust. The edges of the strap are kind of rough which I have never seen before on a 'quality watch'. The glass on the front and back looks solid as does the case. The accuracy is more or less okay. It is running too fast, but only a few seconds a day. You might have to bring it to a jeweller to adjust it, which of course costs extra money. All together I would say that the price is okay. I just expected a bit more from the strap maybe. To be more clearly the RRP is a joke, don't be impressed by it but I think that the actual price is okay.

Dont be fooled by the claims of a £200+ rrp on the advert. If you do a little research on Seiko 5 watches you will find that these watches are made for poorer countries who cant afford the premium timepieces you find in UK/US shops. Thats not to say they arnt good quality though, for the price(£45) they represent amazing value. The model I got has a sturdy stainless steel strap, a sweeping second hand and a see through back. It keeps time really well and the automatic winding has enough charge to allow it to be taken off at night without it stopping.As a day to day watch this is the perfect watch. It looks expensive and has all the kudos that the Seiko brand brings but because its so cheap, you wont mind all the bangs and scrapes that come from daily wear. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a present for my husband as his previous one had broken. He will never have anything but Seiko Automatic watches and he loves this one.

The watch worked for a couple of months and then decided to go slow. Currently it is slower by about 2 hours a day. I can't believe such a faulty product. I have been told by Mr Watch to send it to somewhere in US at my own expense for repair and I also have to include another ~20 pounds inside the package for covering return cost! The service is absolutely aweful. Be careful if you want to order from the same source!

Do Not Buy these watches they are all graded as NOT fit for sale in USA and are for export only. They do not have a Seiko gurantee and the sellers gurantee consists of charging an additional $30(£18.80)for 'p & p'. I supect it will be the same for the bulk of Seiko watches that are for sale by American companies and 'bargain' prices.
