Good quality buy
I have used quite a few D Link products in the past and all have been good quality so when i saw this I thought I got to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed as it performs great. Of course people are going to get different results depending on there connection but I like it and its very compact.

Superb
Needed a cheap wireless adapter and this fits the bill perfectly. Reputable well known brand, allows for the computer to connect to WiFi for basic web browsing and video watching, auto-detected under Windows 10 and used straight away. Highly recommended for a cheap, reliable web surfing.

Got working with Macbook Pro/OSX Mountain Lion but took persistence
My sister's inbuilt Wifi on her oldish Macbook pro got fried, so I was looking for a new solution. I bought this because I saw Mac drivers on D-Link's web site. Didn't notice or pay much attention to fact that latest driver was only for Mac Lion. The installer appeared to work but the instructions on it talk about stuff in Network preferences which simply isn't there and nothing worked. Did a bit more research and discovered via Google that it contains a Realtek rtl8192su chip, so I went to the Realtek web-site and found a mountain lion driver but the link pointed at a javascript void. Decided to try opening the web page in Safari instead of Firefox and voila, the link worked - downloaded Wlan_11n_USB_MacOS10.8_Driver_UI_2.0,1De-installed the previous driver as required in the instructions in the first dialog of the new installer (using the de-installer for the previous driver, not the one in the new driver software package)The installer seemed pretty much the same as the previous driver, again with the nonsense instructions BUT when I rebooted, a blue light started flashing on the USB drive and a special Wifi dialog box opened, from which I was able to connect to Wifi. It doesn't integrate at all with the Mac Airport pie indicator on the top bar, but it does work. Note that "it just worked" there was no need to poke around in network preferences as suggested in the instructions - your mileage may vary though. The good:Once you have it working, it seems reliable and faster than the inbuilt Wifi was.It is tiny - the plan is to leave it in all the time and the macbook can still be slid in and out of its cover with a little care. The price was pretty good! The bad:Getting it working (on a mac!) requires hunting and detective work. The Realtek installation driver gives unnecessary and incorrect instructions.Whilst functional, the configuration/connection tool is clunky and not as intuitive as Mac users might typically expect.

Works for me
For some reason my ASUS barebone M3A-3200 wouldn't recognise the Netgear wireless dongle which we had been using for a while in another machine (ACER 5100). Having a D-Link DIR-855 router I chose to go with the same manufacturer to try and sort it out. It worked, the signal quality is good enough for it be used in a bedroom, where the signal is passing through a floor and a wall. I can only give this product 5 stars as it does exactly what I wanted it to do and it does it well, is unobtrusive and is relatively inexpensive. Upload and download speeds are better than expected for a small dongle

Might be okay if you're running Windows XP or Vista.
I bought this to attach to a Synology diskstation, so I could put my backup storage in another room. The DWA-131 is listed as a compatible wireless dongle. However, it's the hardware version A1 of the D-Link DWA-131 that is specifically listed. Nowhere on the Amazon page does it say that the one I bought would be H/W version E1. Which is incompatible. So I thought I'd try it on a Windows 10 computer. Mistake. The supplied installation disk doesn't have Windows 10 drivers and, moreover, the setup file on the installation disk will not even run under Windows 10: Windows 10 just refuses to run it, even when 'run as administrator'. The D-Link website is no use either, as they don't seem to have realised that Microsoft have released Windows 10 and there is no mention of it, nor any drivers or information at all.I then thought I'd try it in a very old Windows XP pc. Unfortunately, the cd drive in that pc stopped working about 5 years ago, and I'd never replaced it as I don't use that pc at all. No problem, I'll just download the drivers from the D-Link website. But the driver download section on the D-Link website doesn't know about hardware version E1, so there isn't the option to download drivers for the one I've bought. At this point, after about 3 hours, I lost the will to live, and chucked it in the bin.Poor show from D-Link for not keeping up with windows releases. Poor show from Amazon for not making it clearer what version of the DWA-131 they're selling.

D-Link WiFi dongle
Ineeded a dual WiFi access to my laptop and decided to order this unit. I know d link products are good hence I bought it.However due to all the instructions being in Chinese it was very frustrating to get it to work how I wanted it to work. I had to ask an IT tech to assist me to set it up. But it works great now it's set up.

So easy
I needed to convert my desktop PC to wireless, and chose the D-Link DWA-131 Wireless N Nano USB Adapter because that is what my broadband supplier was going to supply to me (at their inflated price). I'd read a few negative reviews about this D-Link product, and did have a few doubts concerning my ability to undertake this as I'm totally ignorant about IT matters. Need not have worried. The instructions are so simple, the installation process smooth and the Adapter works brilliantly. Would recommend this product without any reservation.
