Q: I'm ready to send this back. Cannot get the middle shelf to stay in place and not fall down. Am I missing something?

I have had no trouble with my cabinet. I love it; and I have heavy paint cans on the middle shelf. I suggest you review the instructions, as there is a clip that need to be in place to hold the shelf. SC Critic responding on 9/24.

Q: What keeps the top secure?

I can’t recall exactly how it snapped together but it’s a tight secure fit.

Q: Can the shelf hold 120lbs?

It could hold it but so not expect to move it around as the casters are poorly made and will not role.

Q: Is this mouse proof? No holes as big as a dime?

I believe it is mouse proof. It's pretty snug, no holes at all.
