Zodiac ZODC10005/2 Vacuum Jug Push Button 2 L

Great little Flask. A daily part of our morning routine of keeping our tea warm. If you're looking for a Flask that works at a low cost. Look no further.

Bought two of these jugs for a parish church with poor catering facilities (typical for a parish church) to replace two vacuum jugs which had started to fall apart after about 20 years' of hard labour. Although the jugs these replace were supposed to do something clever in the lid department regarding pouring, it was at least seven years since that part had worked properly! We now use them to fill the urns on a Sunday! They are exactly what we need, affordable, easy to clean, compact, easy to use, hopefully difficult to damage (essential) and retain the heat for long enough for our purposes. Although they were ordered on a Saturday, I had them by the middle of the following week (despite the free delivery date giving a longer margin). I'd buy more of these if necessary and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Someone in the congregation complained that they were ordered via Amazon, but I pointed out that we needed them at short notice and said that I would stop using Amazon when they stopped listening to the Rolling Stones (who for years have all paid less than 0.2% tax).

The jug is sturdy and well made. It is easy to clean. It keeps hot water hot for at least a couple of hours and warm for a lot longer. It keeps cold water nice and cold for hours, that is what I bought it for. Am happy I got it. I have taken a star off because I do have a couple of niggles. Firstly it can be a little tricky to put the lid back on properly - it works like a thermos lid and you need to screw it on correctly. Secondly the spout only pours slowly and when the jug is full it is heavy and difficult to hold over my glass for the time it takes to pour out the water (I have arthritis so if you don't this probably is not an issue). All in all I am happy with it especially for my ice cubes cooling down my summer drinks.

Arrived quickly well packaged. Good quality for the price looks smart and functional. Flask kept the tea (without milk) and water nice and hot throughout recent work meeting lasting over 3 hours. I let the tea brew first and then removed bags to reduce any bitter aftertaste from 'stewed' tea. No complaints from anyone about taste. Liquid flowed OK and the screw lid worked fine although the threads aren't perfect design quickly got the knack of placing it correctly and I've had no problems with mine. It's not transportable as no seal but it's good for office meetings family gatherings.

This is good value because it's cheap and you get a medium product. From the other reviews, I was expecting better. Tea keeps warm for about 2-3 hours (I'd hoped for about 5 or so but still not too bad, considering). It pours very slowly which gets a tad irritating after a while but not enough to be frustrating. The worst thing about this product is that the lid cross-threads too easily and more often than not, I have to start messing about taking the lid off and then back on again, check it's level, which is difficult to get just right, and re-screw the lid on again. This review makes the product sound slightly worse than it actually is. It's faults are ones that still make it worth having, so a 3 stars may sound a bit too low, but I still don't think it's good enough to rate 4 stars.

I bought this to keep in the car when out at work. I am a carer and drive round for 16-18 hours per day and it's handy to have to keep me warm and hydrated on nasty days. I read the reviews that it keeps drinks warm for 8 hours BUT...... I made mine at 6:30am...... and had it in the car all day at freezing temperatures. Then, took it to bed with me at 9pm and the drink was still warm! It's brilliant. You would expect it to be heavy, as old fashioned flasks used to be...... but, it's not. It's sturdy and doesn't appear to have a glass inward which is great for me as I tend to break things. I could not recommend this highly enough. As others have noted it does pour slowly but, that's hardly a reason to mark it down. I assume that is so reduce heat loss in some way.

Nice looking product, but really slow to pour even when full. Also didn't keep coffee warm for a long time at all (noticeably less than a normal thermos) With no real weight and size restrictions items like this have no business being worse than a small normal thermos flask. Returned
