INNOVA 3568 Digital Timing Light

What a joy, tuning the car is normally a bit tricky as the rev counter is in the cabin and I used to jog round the car to check if the adjustments are correct. This gives an immediate result, and is better for optimising the emissions then watching a gas analyser. So the strobe is ideal for the initial timing setup, but the fine adjustment needs a rev counter.

Had this for a good 6 months, use it quite a bit, works perfectly, rev counter is very useful as is the timing advance feature. Definitely recommend this product

Fairly intuitive controls with built in tachometer. Easy to set the advance, really useful on my car which doesn't have fine enough timing marks. You can switch off the strobe to preserve bulb life. The only downside I found was the reset for the advance was too near my thumb, so I'd keep putting it back to zero. Was fine once I remembered not to be clumsy! Not sure if the lamp is bright enough if you are outdoors, was fine in my garage. I didn't get the case seen in some of the user photos above, so if you are expecting one (it isn't featured in the seller info) then you might be disappointed. It picked the spark on my 70s classic up much better than my old, cheap, Gunson unit which I'd used for years. Highly recommended.

Excellent product for the price, would have been nice to have it's own storage case but otherwise it's great.

Tachometer worked fine, but strobe did not flash at all. If Innova quality control is this bad, it makes one dubious about the accuracy IF it did strobe!!

Well worth the extra money over the cheaper options. After buying one of the $20 ones, having to rebuild another one. This one was worth it.

Lampe stroboscopique facile à brancher, les pinces sont de bonne facture. La forme du corps, plate, permet de la faire passer là où d'autres ne pourraient pas. Le bouton, de type "marche/arrêt" plutôt que gachette comme sur d'autres lampes, permet de la fixer et de la laisser en place pendant qu'on fait le réglage. Avec un bon aimant et des colliers on la fixe au capot et hop! le tour est joué. Deux bémols : - l'angle de pliage du corps est restreint, on aurait aimé plus d'amplitude. - la puissance d'éclairage est correcte, sans plus.

The leads and the signal pick up seem to be of good quality. I have used it on two cars so far both of which now run so much better since I can easily adjust them to full advance with this unit without needing a degree wheel. I had a static timing light for years and honestly, I just didn't know what I was missing. Wish I had made the investment years ago. Oh yeah, and it was available through Prime with Free Same Day Delivery. I ordered it in the morning, spent time mowing my grass and went to the pool with my kids, came home to find it on my porch later the same day. It's a beautiful thing. :-)
