Tasty bars. Enjoyed them.

I buy these regularly as an easy protein hit after a long swim session. The texture is good and they do a decent job of satisfying any hunger. Being low-calorie / using sweeteners, there is a loss of taste. These are not Snickers, but 245 calories (I buy chocolate peanut butter). The compromise is certainly worth it. If you want the practicality of a bar and a decent taste for a reasonable price, then I recommend them.

These dark chocolate high protein bars contain 237 calories and are very tasty. They are high protein with 20g and low sugar (less than 1g). I frequently replace one meal a day with these bars and because I know how many calories etc. in each bar, I am able to monitor my nutritional intake and have been successful in my weight loss and in maintaining that weight loss. Although they contain raspberry, they are not all sweet but even so, they satisfy my occasional craving for something sweet. I keep mine in the fridge, which makes them a little chewy but also means I can eat them more slowly and enjoy their flavour. I don't feel at all guilty consuming one of these bars whilst maintaining my weight loss because they are my little treat which I have allowed for in my plan. For my other two meals a day, I take care to plan them and monitor my nutrition to try and have a healthy balanced diet. I find them very satisfying.

I'm a 33 year old female and work out 4-5 days a week, a mixture of dance and gym stuff. I eat quite healthily on the whole, apart from I have a very sweet tooth and enjoy a bit of cake. I generally try to avoid chocolate bars as a habit but do need a mid-afternoon snack to tide me over until dinner time, so I typically have either a piece of fruit or one of these if I want a few more calories: Grenade Carb Killa High Protein and Low Carb Bar, 12 x 60 g - Caramel Chaos TASTE & TEXTURE This bar has a chocolate coating with some rice crispies underneath the surface and a slightly soft sweet chewy centre. It's slightly bigger than your average protein bar and sweeter than most, but not overwhelming so. I think it's very tasty! I find it a really decent tasty filling snack. I've tried many different protein chocolate bars and flapjacks. Many of the other protein bars taste very odd with a dry grainy unappealing texture. This one is completely different and I would happily eat it as a snack, not just for the protein gains. NUTRITIONAL INFO (per 64g bar) 241 cal per bar / 20.0g protein / 24.0g carbohydrates (1.9g sugars) / 0.4g fibre / Salt 0.33g The bar is a good size, and unlike other sweet treats I actually find that if I eat one of these for breakfast I have sustained and steady energy until lunch, instead of the feeling of being a bit shaky before lunch if I've had a cereal based breakfast or too many sugary snacks. It's hard to judge whether or not I've seen any muscular gains from eating a few of these bars, but I have been eating them for breakfast and find that they're enough to fuel a workout and also get me through to lunch. If you wanted to gain mass you can add 1 of these bars on to your normal food for the day rather than eating them as a meal replacement. With a decent protein hit (20g), these are certainly beneficial to me and I've noticed that I've looked more lean and fit just by replacing my naughty snacks with protein chocolate bars. WOULD I BUY IT? Yes! There are 12 bars in this box for £19.99 so they cost £1.67 a bar if purchased in this pack at the current Amazon price. It's ever so slightly more expensive than your average protein bar (usually about £1.50ish) but I definitely find it delicious and filling. It's just a slight shame that there isn't more fibre in it, as some other similar bars offer around 6-8g and taste just as good, but this is a minor point as I get plenty of fibre elsewhere in my diet.

Oh my God. These were awful. The only flavour in the mixed box that was okay was the birthday cake. These are so bad I had one bite of most and chucked them. The texture is awful inside. Hard and dry compared to yummy Warrior Crunch bars. The “chocolate” outside is hard and tastes horrible. Just nope. This is the second time I’ve given this brand a go and it’s a waste of money. Warrior Bars taste great, taste like real chocolate, great middle fillings. Their chocolate coconut and white chocolate are my favourites. Hint: If you get Warrior bars get from their site. I get many texts of great deals direct like 12 bars for £12 or 35% off. These do not impress me one bit. For the cost it’s a total waste. Maybe you’ll love them but I’ve tried sooo many protein bars now and Warrior are the market leader. I’ll never buy these again. Even other family members didn’t like these.

I was always a fan of Grenade protein bars until I tried these. They are the best flavour, consistency, size, texture, etc. you can buy in my opinion. They hardly taste like protein bars, more like a chocolate bar, honestly! I've also tried the plant based bars and some of the other flavours PHD have to offer but the Chocolate Peanut Butter is the best by far. I have one almost everyday as a morning/afternoon snack and I've always got a box of them in the house or on order. BTW they are currently £14.99 direct from PHD. Spend £35 for free delivery. Cheaper than Amazon at the time of writing... although last month Amazon had them at £12.99 for a box so check both places before buying.

Found a bit of plastic within one of the bars and when I spoke to the manufacturers about it they had me check the best before dates as part of the process. Bars arrived May 2025. Best before date was August 2023.

Das erste, das bei diesem Riegel sofort auffällt ist, dass er im Vergleich zu anderen Proteinriegeln eine ganz andere Konsistenz hat. Statt der dichten Maße welche die meisten Riegel aufweisen ist er sehr ausgefallen, weich und tlw. krümmelig. Absolut super wenn man mal Abwechslung bei den Riegeln haben will. Auch enthält er eine Masse die einen marmeladigen Ansatz hat, genauso wie kleine Zuckerbällchen, die jedoch nicht aus Zucker sind. Den Riegel zu beschreiben, für alle die ihn nicht gekostet haben ist eine Challenge. Wer Süßes mag und mal weg möchte von den 0815 Protein Bars sollte es hier versuchen. Aber Vorsicht, er ist wirklich, wirklich süß im Geschmack, hier gibt's keine halben Sachen.
