Piano Time Classics

Bought this to teach myself some great classical tunes easily - and that's exactly what it does!!

My older pupils really enjoy playing the tunes from this book. Simple, straightforward arrangements- adult beginners love playing something they recognise, too.

This has a collection of tunes which are well known and nicely chosen to appeal to the early-learner. I think it would appeal to the grade 2-3 student. The selection is broad and perhaps the only thing I'd have liked for the price is a few more tunes.

I am a piano teacher. This book is great for pupils who would like to play famous pieces after about their first or second year. The Fur Elise is a gem as everyone wants to play it and in essence it hardly differs from the beginning of the original. The book is also useful as satisfying sight reading for around grades 3 and 4.

My daughter is really happy with the book, it's easy to read the music and helpful while working towards her next assessment.

Lots of nice pieces to learn. The pieces get a bit more difficult near the end of the book.

Well known extracts from ‘classical’ music music with useful fingering prompts. Variety of techniques required makes for interesting learning.

As a beginner to learning the piano somewhat much later in life, these books are good for inspiration . Ones like this Classics edition are especially good, as they have tunes that are recognisable even when playing at a very basic level

I must have lent mine out to a student and not got it back so I bought another one. This book is a great accompaniment to the piano time 2 book. It’s mostly around the same level but there are also some pieces suitable for learners on piano time 1 and definitely ones for piano time 3 level too! The selection of classics is nice with variety of styles and tempos.

I wish this company would sell books like this containing entire works of music instead of just mini samplings of classical music movements. The pieces included are wonderful and familiar to classical music lovers like me. I've learned a few of the arrangements by heart already and am hungry for more. Please Piano Time, more music in this style not just snippets and samples.
