I bought this having looked at the Aaron suspension post. I happened to read the top German review of the much more expensive Aaron product, and I'm so glad I did! They are apparently the same - just branded differently, with the Aaron 'name' demanding a higher price for those who want to pay for a name. I just wanted great functionality, and that's what i got. I got a great deal too, on a 'used like new', at just under £11 - amazing! It was very easy to fit to my E-bike and its saddle. The saddle bracket and bolts are very high quality and the whole thing looks great and feels sturdy. I immediately noticed an amazing difference in ride comfort on our dreadful Bucks and Oxfordshire roads. You don't really feel it working as such - just like car suspension - it just does its job quietly and efficiently. The impact of bumps and holes on the hindquarters is really cut down. I weigh 74kg and haven't felt the need to adjust the spring away from its factory setting. I did look at other suspension options, like a front fork conversion and handle bar suspension, but I definitely feel I made the right decision to go for saddle post suspension instead. Excellent purchase!

This seat post has made a huge difference to my comfort when riding over uneven ground. A path with tree roots underneath was a right pain in the backside when travelling to work, now I don't dread it the way I used to. The seat post has done a great job of smoothing out the bumps and I am impressed with the quality, comfort and value for money. Definitely worth considering to increase your comfort especially on a bike with no suspension, and particularly if you are on a budget.

Purchased this saddle post together with a low end split saddle as my existing post was shot and the saddle, though soft and broad was ... errr ... causing discomfort. I hoped to take the edge off the some of the bumpier surfaces I encounter, and was very pleasantly surprised at how well made and how effective it was. If the instructions that arrived with it had been for the right saddle post, it would have been five stars - though it wasn't too difficult to work out the fitting and adjustments available.

If you are concerned about weight then this probably isn't for you, a lot heavier than a standard seat post but that's not the point. Easy to fit and adjust, fits same as a standard seat post. Makes a big difference to comfort on rides smoothing out all the bumps. Would highly recommend if you want a cheap way or getting a more comfortable ride on any suitable bike.

I have been looking for a competitive price but this just got my attention. Was hesitant to purchase it before, but, after having my 20-kilometre test ride I can say this is perfect for my daily commute!

Easy to install and adjust. I do most of my riding on a gravel or cyclo cross bike, on trails that vary from good to rugged, and this makes the worst of them much less uncomfortable. Definitely worth the investment.

I just received this and i was surprised to see that the item had been opened before.. which made me believe that it has been returned before as ithad marks and traces of blue paint on it. But that wouldn't have been a problem. However.. the add advertises a 60 to 95 kg max.. and this seatpost had a 120 kg max. which made it totally useles for my 84 kg. There was no shock absorbtion at all.. just felt like a normal post. Totally disappointed and already asked for a refund.

Köpte denna oansenliga produkt för att dämpa stötar vid mtb-körning i skogen. Den var över förväntan! Bara kört ett pass på c:a 9 km, men det var som att få en smekning i ändalykten! Rekommenderas varmt! Har du en xc-cykel utan dämpning bak - köp denna!

Ich (87 kg Gewicht, 1,83 m Größe) nutze die Sattelstütze an einem normalen Herren-28''-Tourenrad täglich in einer mit Schlaglöchern gespickten Stadt und bin hochzufrieden. Um die Sattelstütze sicher anbringen zu können, musste bei mir aber noch eine Kalibrierbuchse her, um den Durchmesser der Stütze (27,2 mm) an den des Sattelrohres (31,6 mm) anpassen zu können. Bisher hatte ich eine hochwertige Parallelogramm-Sattelstütze in Gebrauch, die zwar optisch etwas hermachte, mit deren Federung (die nicht senkrecht nach unten, sondern auch nach hinten in Richtung Radende hin federt) ich mich aber nie so richtig anfreunden konnte. Die XLC Pro aus Aluminium ist hervorragend verarbeitet, mit unter 400 Gramm ein echtes Leichtgewicht und nutzt als Federmedium den flexiblen Kunststoff Elastomer. Was eventuellen Verschleiß bzw. abnehmende Wirksamkeit diesbezüglich angeht, kann ich nach wenigen Wochen Nutzung noch keine Auskunft geben. Und natürlich sieht das schwarze Teil toll aus. Ein Kaufgrund war auch unter anderem, dass diese Sattelstütze zum Schutz der Federung nicht mit so einer häßlichen Ziehharmonikaummantelung versehen ist. Hier tut eine dezente Gummimuffe zwischen Stütze und Hubkolben zuverlässig ihre Arbeit. Die Skala an der eigentlichen Stütze ist ungemein hilfreich bei der Einstellung der Höhe. Der Federweg ist mit maximal 40 Millimetern völlig ausreichend, die Härte stellt man mit einem Inbusschlüssel an der Unterseite der Stütze ein. Nach ein paar Versuchen habe ich für mich die perfekte Einstellung gefunden: Beim Aufsetzen auf den Sattel gibt die Federung bereits ganz gering nach, das Fahren auf den Straßen wird danach zum Vergnügen. Fazit: Hervorragende Komfortverbesserung beim Fahren (zu mehr sind gefederte Sattelstützen ja auch nicht da) und eine tolle Verarbeitung machen die XLC Pro SP-505 zu DEM Preis-Leistungstipp für Vielfahrer in der Stadt.

Confort nettement amélioré Très bon produit pour gagner en confort sur les chemins accidentés. L’amorti est efficace et la tige s’installe facilement. Un vrai plus pour les longues sorties à vélo !
