Jamie Hewlett: VA

This book is packed with Hewlett’s incredible work. If you’re a fan of his illustrations, Gorillaz or art and design in general this book is perfect. I bought this for my boyfriend and we looked through it for hours. A really gorgeous beautiful book, the quality of print is brilliant and every page is filled with beautiful art. I recommend to all who is slightly interested. If you’re debating it, go for it, it was worth every penny for me.

Loved Jamie Hewlett work from when I was a Kid and first saw Tank Girl. Filled with visual surprises and so much information and insights this will please any fan of illustration, design and art. Great buy and the price is so low! So happy to have this on my shelf. Constantly asked to get it down by the kids. Beware though, some of the content won't be suitable for children.

I was blown away by this book, the size of it in general was a lot bigger than I thought it would be and consisted of some incredible artwork by Jamie Hewlett as well as a few interviews with him. This is defiantly a perfect gift for anyone who is a fan of Jamie, Tank Girl or Gorillaz as it contains drawings of all of those and more. Well worth the price.

I got this as a present for my brother as he loves Gorillaz and Jamie Hewlett, and he said it was the best present he's ever received. It's a very big thick book with loads of art from everything he's done, beautiful and lots of descriptions. It is in various languages as well (I think English and Dutch)

This book is so lovely, and while I initially bought it for jamie’s Gorillaz work, I really enjoyed seeing his other art, too! The book is very big and heavy which is something you can’t help but love in art books...I definitely recommend for a present or just to get inspired when drawing!

Did not expect the book to be so big and heavy, which is a plus! full of art, comic strips, interviews etc... Its perfect for artistic inspiration. Suitable for art fanatics, artists, Hewlett fans, Gorillaz fans, Tank Girl fans etc. i recommend!

This book is huge, well designed and has just so much Hewlett art and what he has to say, it was worth getting. Just make sure you have room for this, must weigh about 2kg!

Le livre est vraiment superbe. Très intéressant, même si j'aurais aimé que JH en dise un peu plus long sur ses techniques de dessin, les matériaux utilisés etc. Les interviews et introductions sont en trois langues, dont le français. Par contre j'ai eu un problème avec la livraison : le livreur a balancé le livre par dessus mon portail, du coup le livre était bien abîmé. Mais Amazon m'a tout de suite renvoyé un autre livre, donc niquel pour le sav.

Jamie Hewlett, prima di diventare famoso come membro dei Gorillaz è stato ed è tutt’ora uno dei disegnatori britannici più influenti a livello mondiale. Il suo segno negli anni 90 è stato tra i più influenti della scena alternativa inglese. Da avere!

This book is an overview of the career of Jamie Hewlett, the creator of Tank Girl, and co-founder of the Gorillaz. This will give you an understanding of his skill as an illustrator, and his breadth. I was not only impressed by the quality of his work, but the variety of styles he employed. Highly recommended.
