Winsor & Newton, Professional Watercolour Field Box, 12 x Half Pans PLUS 1 x Travel Brush + Artists' Sponge + 35ml bottle + Water Container

My other half bought this for me as a Christmas present. It's absolutely lovely. It's small enough that I can fit it in my handbag, which was exactly what I was looking for. The colours are rich, creamy, and a delight to work with. I bought a size 4 travel brush from another company and intend to purchase a few more in other sizes, as the brush that comes with this set is miniscule and cannot be used for anything other than fine details.The paints are all in individual half-pan wells, so it'll be very easy to swap them out as they wear down, or to replace them with other colours I prefer (the Chinese white, for example, I never use).Its size, paint quality, and layout is perfect for what I needed. I've taken to using it at home as well, for those times when I don't want to take up the entire table with all my supplies! I spent a bit of the Christmas holidays curled up on the sofa in the lounge with my family, and this allowed me to paint in their company without much intrusion.

You really can’t go wrong with Winsor and Newton Professional watercolour. The paint is gorgeous (though I know American artists seem not to agree). This is an ingenious travel palette with an integrated water bottle/palette, more palette space, a brush and sponge. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I bought this as a gift. This seemed pretty expensive to me, and I agonized over the choice between this one and the cheaper version with a different set of colours.I settled on this because the pigments in this set were described by reviewers as being of professional grade, and also they looked less toxic (no cadmium...). Plus the intended recipient is a retired professional illustrator so I figured it was best not to cheap out on the pigments.Said recipient was absolutely delighted with it, though.I've given it four rather than five stars partly because at the price, I feel they could have included at least one more (larger) collapsible brush.

This is a super little kit. The only problem, predictably enough, is that the brush isn't much good. Get this and some decent travel brushes and you're all set. The quality of the paint is excellent, and everything fits together perfectly. It's the Swiss Army Knife of watercolour painting.

The paint is vibrant and easy to rewet pans, love Winsor&Newton.I was sad because I got two of the same half pans and the sponge was mouldy (!), maybe an old article stored incorrectly. The case also was a bit difficult to open, I must have been damaged.However the awesome customer service assistance was able to provide an adequate solution addressing the problem responsibly, they partally refunded for the defects and I am very happy about it now!Thank you Amazon, always five-star-quality service!

This travelling kit works wonderfully well, although you really need more water than the little bottle can hold and a some larger brushes. However, I have found it very practical and easy to use. The small size fits easily into a handbag or pocket. Not all the colours provided may be your favourites but most of mine were included and the pans can be easily replaced. Brilliant.
