These converters are a good deal for their cost, and they fit Jinhao pens perfectly. They will fit other standard international pens, though the seal is not always perfect, depending on the pen. The plastic may be a little brittle; I had one crack during cleaning after a few months of use. But for the most part, they're about what you'd expect this type of converter.

You can draw up ink from a bottle and use these in fountain pens. They can be reused too.

I use the converter for different brand/ types of fountain pens. They fit in most (not in LAMY). Your cartridge holding part of the pen has to have at least a diameter of 8 mm. The cartridge part (clear) is the same size as a regular ink cartridge. The part that pulls the ink in (black) is connected with a golden sleeve to the cartridge. This sleeve makes the converter 2 mm thicker than a regular ink cartridge.I inserted the converter into the fountain pen the same way as an ink cartridge. For some pens, I had to wriggle a bit to get it properly connected. Accidentally I loosened the golden sleeve on one carriage and the whole converter separated into parts. There was no problem to assemble it back.I have the converter only a few days. So far there is no leaking or spilling. I can refill the converter outside the pen, or I also pulled the ink through the tip of the pen. Both ways work fine. I will use the second way in the future, since I don't want to provoke spillage through damaging the clear plastic front part.

This is an update on a previous review.In all fairness to Amazon, I am upgrading my review because I tried to install a defective converter which would not fit over the nib and I assumed that the converter was the wrong one for my pen.After being contacted by Amazon and told that they were able to install the converter on the same pen, I tried again with a different converter and was able the snap the converter onto the nib.Out of a 10 pact of converters, 2 would not install.It was my luck to choose the one that was defective.Sorry for such a low review.I still believe that the manufacturer should include instructions with their products, and the products should state that they are specific to your need, in other words, specific model.That leaves out the guess work.

These are dependable but cost 1/10th the price of some other brands. They fit most any fountain pen that takes standard international ink cartridges. They won't fit proprietary sizes like Cross, Parker, Pilot, Sheaffer, etc., but they should fit Lamy, Pelikan, Waterman, Faber Castell, Rotring, and any Chinese brand. In my experience, maybe 1 in 20 will be faulty in that you can't draw ink into the cartridge the very first time you use it. But I have yet to have one of the ones that do work fail on me. And, since they fit inside your pen, nobody will see it so they won't know that your expensive German-made Rotring pen has a cheap Chinese ink converter. Recommended.

These work as advertised but are somewhat small in capacity compared to others. They work in pens that will take two International standard sized cartridges back to back which are 3" in total length. The converter measures 2 9/16 inches in length which is ever so slightly more than 6.5 centimeters. So your pen needs to have slightly more than 6.5 centimeters of internal length and must accept a standard cartridge. With modification (enlarging the hole, for example) this converter can be made to work with some proprietary designs. For example, I modified one (enlarged the hole) and it now works with a vintage Parker 45.Cliff
